Moment quick-thinking boy, nine, saves calf from creek

On April 22, 2025, nine-year-old Wyatt Ban from Eminence, Indiana, saved a calf stranded in a creek.

While heading home with his mother, Wyatt noticed a frantic mother cow and insisted they turn around to investigate.

After slipping through a barbed wire fence, Wyatt found the calf stuck in the creek.

He carefully moved the mother cow aside and managed to push the calf out of the water, reuniting the pair.

His mother, Morgan, praised his quick thinking and said it was incredible how Wyatt knew exactly what to do.
