00:00So, in terms of ceiling, I think he has the ceiling of a superstar. I absolutely believe that.
00:05You know, it was funny, we asked, I think it was either Danny Breer or Brent Flair, the assistant general manager at the draft, basically to compare him to a player.
00:13I think it was Danny. And Danny honestly gave the right answer, which is, when you're talking about a player that's this good, you don't really want to give a comparable.
00:21Because, you know, it's not that he could be the next Patrick Kane, it's that you're talking maybe in 10 years, you know, this guy could be the next Mafia Mitchcock.
00:27Like, he's that quality of player in terms of upside. Now, when will he get here? He's got the contract with the KHL team for another three seasons.
00:35So, it seems like he's excited to be a Flyer, he wants to come over, if he's going to get out of that deal, Vladimir Putin will let him leave Russia, he will come to play in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers.
00:46Can he get out of the deal sooner? Maybe. It's a very complex situation because of all geopolitical concerns that are going on right now.
00:54Now, the NHL teams really can't, at the moment, because everything's so strange, can't really negotiate a buyout of a contract.
01:03However, the player could theoretically do it on his own with his camp. And that just kind of comes down to, you know, whether he's motivated enough to do it.
01:11Obviously, it's not cheap. He's got to buy out his own contract, things like that.
01:14So, it's a situation where I think there's maybe some optimism that he could potentially get out of the deal earlier.
01:21At the same time, though, the Flyers are rebuilding. So, in a sense, it almost might make sense for them to leave him there for the extra years and then use this three-year period to build up the talent base,
01:34maybe build a team that obviously isn't going to be a cup contender, but maybe is like a bubble playoff team.
01:39And then, in three years, you get Mitch Coffey, add him to the mix, and then you're off to the races.
01:42Let's say it the right way.
