01:39Baseball, the Mets made a big splash yesterday

01:42by acquiring Cy Young winner Justin Verlander

01:46in a two-year deal worth $86 million,

01:51$43 million a season for Verlander,

01:54who is 40 but also coming off of a Cy Young season.

01:59So pretty interesting.

02:01Basically, it's like we're going to let DeGrom walk for Verlander.

02:04That's the decision they made.

02:06Verlander is six years older than DeGrom,

02:09who was a hometown product, but, you know,

02:12they're going for a championship.

02:14I guess they thought Verlander is the way to go over DeGrom.

02:17I think Verlander's a pretty damn good arm.

02:20I don't mind getting him off the Astros,

02:22getting him out of our league, that's for sure.

02:24They're both Hall of Famers, in my opinion.

02:26So, I mean, they're both two of the best pictures

02:31The last couple of seasons with DeGrom have been just not there.
