00:00What's up? It is JR talking about the 7-15 second date update. I'll just tell you this.
00:04Joel and Emmy, not going back out, Joel got really nasty at the end of this phone call,
00:09but what he did on the date was just so avoidable, and it actually happened at the very beginning of the date.
00:16He would have been totally fine during the entire date if he just wouldn't have done something that was so avoidable.
00:22He had no problem with doing it. She said this is illegal, not okay, disrespectful, and selfish.
00:30You can tell us what you think and leave a comment right now. It's your 7-15 second date update.
00:34All right, trying to help out Joel this morning on the 7-15 second date update.
00:38He's definitely thought it through. He's definitely listened to the show because he's like,
00:41I wasn't crazy like some of the people we have on this show.
00:44I'm like, all right, which is interesting, but they went downtown for first Friday,
00:48which happened to be the same night as the Parker McComb.
00:50The boat races were going on. This is all Labor Day weekend.
00:52There's a lot of stuff going on there, yeah.
00:53Yeah, and I thought, okay, maybe it's not her scene. Maybe that she didn't like that.
00:57No, but he said she was totally into it, and she was fine with the crowd.
01:01And he's like, the date was fine. We had a lot of fun on the date.
01:04There wasn't anything weird that happened on the date.
01:06Or to him, it didn't look like she was not having a good time.
01:09Right.
01:10We're trying to figure out why she's not talking to him again.
01:12So we have her on hold right now. Let's bring her back on.
01:15Amy, you there?
01:16Hi.
01:17Hi, how you doing?
01:18I'm good.
01:19Well, I appreciate you taking the time.
01:20I know you're kind of confused what's going on,
01:22but I do appreciate you coming on the air with us and agreeing to.
01:25We want to actually talk to you about this guy, Joel, that you went on a date with.
01:28We heard you guys went down to downtown St. Pete for first Friday.
01:31Had a good time down there.
01:33I guess he picked you up.
01:34You guys had a dinner at the Avenue.
01:36He thought things obviously went well.
01:39That's why he's calling us trying to get a hold of you.
01:40And he is just very confused that, you know, after a great date and, you know,
01:46taking you there, dropping you back off at home, having a great meal together,
01:50he just doesn't understand why he hasn't heard from you since when he's been reaching out.
01:53Sure.
01:54I don't mind talking to you guys about it.
01:57You're welcome.
01:58It's actually pretty simple.
02:01I think he's just a really selfish guy.
02:04I was extremely turned off by him from the very beginning of the date.
02:08And I just figured, you know, I don't want to date a guy like him.
02:11Do you have any more to say about that?
02:14Could you kind of tell us a little bit why you were turned off?
02:18This is what happened.
02:19He picked me up.
02:20And, you know, you know parking's always really tough around there, you know.
02:24So I'm circling around for a bit.
02:26And he just had like this thought, like, oh, yeah.
02:29And he ripped out this handicap tag.
02:32And apparently it was his father's.
02:34And he stuck up on his, you know, on the car.
02:36And he pulled up into a handicapped spot.
02:39And I honestly was appalled.
02:41I thought that was absolutely disgusting.
02:44The reason being is because, you know, I'm just really uncomfortable with it.
02:47Because what if another handicapped person needed a spot?
02:50Right.
02:50You know, I understand his dad is handicapped.
02:54But he certainly isn't.
02:55And, you know, I'm a principal girl, you know.
02:59And I just found that disgusting.
03:01Yeah, that can be uncomfortable.
03:02I hear you for sure.
03:03Especially when you get out of the car and people are looking at you or whatever.
03:07Oh, yeah.
03:08Well, here's the deal.
03:09And that's the reason.
03:11Did you say anything to him at that moment?
03:12I know I would have.
03:14No, I didn't say anything to him at all.
03:16I just wanted to go through the date and not argue or have some, you know, weird vibes going on.
03:22So I just left it alone.
03:23But, you know, once I got back home and really thought about it longer, I just, I'm not at peace with it.
03:29I don't need him in my life.
03:31So you knew right at the beginning of the date that she probably wasn't going to go back out.
03:34But she let him take you out anyway.
03:36Well, she's stuck.
03:38He drove.
03:38I guess, yeah.
03:39He drove.
03:39Yeah, he drove.
03:41You know, and, you know, I'm already in it.
03:43I wasn't going to just, like, jump in an Uber or something, you know.
03:46Right.
03:47That makes it a bigger scene for sure.
03:49Oh, well, listen, Amy, we actually have Joel on the phone with us.
03:51And we did not know that, obviously.
03:53I want to bring it back on and get his take on this.
03:55Joel.
03:56Really?
03:57Because of that?
03:58Well, I mean, it's kind of messed up, though, don't you think?
03:59You're using your dad's handicap pass?
04:02That's illegal.
04:03No, no.
04:04It's not messed up.
04:05Let's not act like there was only one spot left.
04:08It was, like, 9 p.m.
04:09There was, like, 10 handicap spots left.
04:12They were wide open.
04:13I took one.
04:14Who cares?
04:14And, like, I helped my dad go to actual things.
04:17It's a legal one.
04:18I didn't, like, forge it off the Internet or something.
04:21I'm a good guy.
04:22I helped my dad.
04:23I don't see the big deal.
04:24I get an occasional bonus parking out of it.
04:27That just shows the kind of person you are.
04:30It is wrong.
04:31First of all, you're exaggerating because there's only, like, three handicapped spots, and we took one.
04:35Okay, what if there's four handicapped people that want to come?
04:39You know, it's more than just a spot.
04:41It's the way you think.
04:42Like, if you're so quick to do something illegal like that and so thoughtless, what else are you about?
04:47It wasn't illegal and thoughtless.
04:49Yes, and we circled for 10 minutes first.
04:51It wasn't like, hey, I got VIP front row.
04:53It's like, there's no spots.
04:55Well, three or five or ten, whatever.
04:57I'm not a math person.
04:58A bunch of those spots are open.
05:00It's nine at night.
05:01Probably those people aren't coming out at this point.
05:04So, who cares?
05:05Because when we got back to the car, guess what?
05:10I was the only one in the handicapped spot, so nothing changed.
05:13Listen, I'm not going to go back and forth.
05:15It's not necessarily the parking.
05:17Once again, I just don't like the way you think.
05:20You're just inconsiderate in my mind.
05:23So, if you want to find...
05:24I'm inconsiderate?
05:25I'm a problem solver.
05:26I'm solving problems.
05:27Listen, if you want to find a woman that's completely fine with you and your handicapped tag and your inconsiderate ways, fine.
05:36Go for it.
05:36I'm a piece of that.
05:37Go find her.
05:38It's not me.
05:39All right.
05:39That's how you're going to stay working at your minimum wage job because you're not taking any risks.
05:43I get it now.
05:44Now it all makes sense.
05:44That has nothing to do with any of this.
05:47What are you talking about?
05:48What?
05:48You're talking about it.
05:49You've got to follow all rules.
05:51You must follow all rules to a T.
05:53You cannot be a person that thinks.
05:55This just took a turn.
06:00Is this a lamb on the phone?
06:02All right.
06:03It's such a turn off.
06:04He's a sheep.
06:05It was a sheep sound.
06:07All right.
06:08Well, listen.
06:08We'll work on the animal sounds.
06:10Amy, I appreciate you coming on with us.
06:12And I totally understand where you're coming from.
06:14So, thank you for that.
06:15Joel, I'm sorry it's not going to work out, man.
06:17You heard it.
06:17Obviously, you guys are already fighting now.
06:19It's that sensitive now.
06:21I'm glad I found out early.
06:22Imagine if something actually happened.
06:25After your display right now, there's going to be no woman that wants to be with you.
06:28It's a little sheep sound.
06:29Well, guys.
06:30Thank you so much.
06:31We're going to wrap it up.
06:32And you guys take care, okay?
06:34All right.
06:36Wait.
06:37I was going to see if he could do a cow.
06:40I don't want to get on a high horse here, but I think it is.
06:43That's wrong.
06:44It's not okay to do that.
06:45It's not okay.
06:46I mean, he tried to defend it as much as he could because he was like, hey, not a lot
06:50of spaces were taken after 9 o'clock on a Saturday.
06:53There were a bunch of extra spaces, but it's still, it's wrong and it's illegal.
06:56Now, I know if you're somebody with a handicap plaque or you may have run into this situation,
07:01and I totally understand why you would say this is not okay.
07:04Totally get that.
07:05I also want to know, though, would this have been a deal breaker for you?
07:08For anybody?
07:09Or do you think maybe it was smart on his part?
07:11Because some people may be thinking that.
07:12I want to know, 800-992-1099, 800-992-1099.
