00:00Let's play Lead the Fifth with Orlando and the Freak Show on Wild 94.1.
00:14Hooked up by 1-800-ASK-GARY. Now, who's taking the stand?
00:19Davito. I'm here, baby. I'm ready.
00:21He doesn't look scared this morning. And you know why? Because Meredith ain't here.
00:26He somehow thinks that we're going to take it easy on him because we're the boys.
00:31It's the Meredith questions that get me. If you were a Barbie princess.
00:37All right. So we get three questions from the room. We get three questions from you.
00:40All right. Davi gets one pass and he gets to boomerang one of the questions that he answered back to the room to make us answer it, too.
00:47All right. Buck, you want to go first? Yeah, I'll go first.
00:50Davi, you seem kind of like a tough guy to me sometimes. Sometimes.
00:53The tattoos, you know. So my question is, with Valentine's Day coming up, what is the most romantic thing you've ever done for a girl?
01:03Oh, man.
01:05Davi ain't romantic.
01:06That's what I'm saying. He ain't romantic.
01:08We did a picnic on the beach during lockdown. Actually, there was nothing else to do.
01:16So I looked up a recipe, something very simple.
01:20You made it?
01:21I made it. Yeah. My cooking bag is not deep. So it was pretty simple.
01:28But we went to the beach. I had a little table laid out with some wine and the little makeshift meal that I made.
01:37And we had dinner on the beach.
01:39I thought that was – and she loved it.
01:41And she really liked it.
01:42Girls love that.
01:42Yeah, and we did like – we took a little – it wasn't too late, so it was still like – the sun was still out.
01:46So we took a little walk after we packed up our little picnic, and it was great.
01:50So y'all were in the sand part?
01:52Mm-hmm.
01:53Out there?
01:53Yeah.
01:54And you had like a blanket or something?
01:55No, we had a table. We actually had a table.
01:57Oh, okay.
01:57Yeah, like a little fold-out table that I brought from the crib and just set up everything right there with a little tablecloth and everything.
02:04Yeah.
02:04Wow.
02:05Yo, when we were on lockdown, you ain't had nothing but time.
02:10Davi was on Pinterest.
02:12I was like, damn, okay.
02:14Yeah.
02:14All right, that's what's up.
02:15It went a long way, too.
02:16She liked it.
02:16All right, let's see.
02:17Let's go imagination here.
02:19Okay.
02:19If you could inject your life into a motion picture, like a motion picture that you would then – your life would now be in that movie, what movie would you select and why?
02:34Wolf of Wall Street.
02:36Wolf of Wall Street.
02:37Yeah.
02:37Okay.
02:37I like his choice of wife, first of all.
02:41Yeah.
02:42I love the come-up, man.
02:46A guy that went from selling penny stocks to somebody that figured it out and ended up having a whole empire and people under him and more money than he could spend.
02:57Yeah, Wolf of Wall Street for sure.
02:59You do know you go to jail in that movie, right?
03:01But it was worth it, though.
03:06You go to jail and there's a lot of booger sugar in that movie, too.
03:10Damn.
03:10I mean, yeah.
03:11But did you see his boat?
03:12That was nice.
03:14Just throwing money.
03:15Yeah, it was nice.
03:16And Margot Robbie, boy, that's almost worth it.
03:18I was like, ooh.
03:19Tishy took it from him.
03:20For real.
03:21She's like, you can't touch mommy.
03:22Yeah.
03:23Yeah, this is the last time you're going to get Tish.
03:26I'm divorcing you.
03:27So that's funny you say that.
03:29So for the final question from us three, I want to ask you, do you ever worry, Davi, about something you've said on this show, especially since we're doing video now, that one day will come back to haunt you?
03:40And I'm talking about cancel culture.
03:42I don't worry about cancel culture.
03:47But what I do worry about is I'm noticing that my mom is listening more and more often.
03:54Yeah.
03:54She is.
03:55She's honestly becoming almost a daily listener.
03:58That's rough.
03:59And the times that she listens changes.
04:03So sometimes it's like on her way to church.
04:05That's one time.
04:06Or, you know, if it's not a church day, it's on the way to the gym.
04:09That's another time.
04:09So I never know.
04:11So I'm not worried about the woke mob.
04:14Forget them.
04:14I'm worried about my mama.
04:17He used to be clear.
04:18Mama wasn't listening.
04:19Now she's listening at various times.
04:22She does listen.
04:23And she lets you know?
04:25Rarely.
04:26But it does happen.
04:28But there are a lot of conversations that have, like, begun now more recently.
04:32Like, so I was in the car.
04:34I was listening to your program.
04:35Oh, my God.
04:37What were we talking about, Mama?
04:38Yeah, Mama, please.
04:39Don't listen that day.
04:40Yeah, that's what worries me.
04:42All right, let's see here.
04:42We got a few questions in.
04:44Let's see.
04:44Clarence is on the line.
04:46Clarence, you got a question for Davi.
04:49Uh-oh.
04:49Wait a minute.
04:50All right.
04:50The phone's acting up.
04:51All right.
04:51There we go.
04:52I didn't have you on in the first time.
04:53What up, Clarence?
04:54What up, Clarence?
04:55Hey, what up?
04:56What's in the cards for After Radio?
04:58What are you doing After Radio?
05:00If the Beasley say, hey, it's a wrap.
05:02What's in the cards?
05:03What are you doing?
05:04Oh, man.
05:04Well, hopefully I don't have to really seriously consider that for a while.
05:07But, man, you know what, Clarence?
05:09I'm kind of setting myself up for that now with, like, you know, starting businesses and things like that.
05:15You might know I have a tattoo shop, which is going really well.
05:18We're in the middle of trying to expand.
05:20That and DJing, you know, I still have a bunch of bookings and things like that.
05:25So entrepreneurship, side hustling with DJing.
05:29And then, like, I've always been very interested in investments, you know, stocks and crypto and things like that, man.
05:37So probably just try to play the financials, keep the tattoo shop running, and hustle on the weekends on the DJ side.
05:43Hey, that's what's up.
05:44That's what's up.
05:45Hey, appreciate it, Clarence.
05:46All right, let's see here.
05:47Davi, you have two more questions.
05:50Okay, here's one.
05:51Davi, who's the better cook, your girl or your mother?
05:57Oh, that's a good question.
05:59And I honestly say, I'm going to say my mom.
06:03And I think my girl would agree with her, too.
06:07Like, my girl is very good at that.
06:11Oh, don't try and stop your girl.
06:15She's good.
06:16My girl cooks very well.
06:18She cooked dinner last night.
06:19It was phenomenal.
06:20But her bag is more limited, where, like, my mom got recipes for days.
06:27Like, if she wanted to, there would be no repeats for over a month.
06:32Easy.
06:32Like, growing up, there wasn't.
06:34So you're trying to say your girl repeat too much?
06:36Well, she just doesn't have the wealth of knowledge that Mom Dukes does.
06:40You're very much more political now.
06:42I like that.
06:42Yeah, you like that.
06:43Yeah.
06:44You don't get painted into a corner like that.
06:46By the way, you can sleep on my couch tonight if you need to.
06:49Because your girl, you're going to have some bologna sandwiches for the next couple days.
06:52Honestly, I think my girl would agree that, you know, she's still learning and, you know, expanding her recipe selection.
07:00All right.
07:00You got a question out of 863.
07:03And this, I believe this is your sixth one.
07:05Last one.
07:05All right.
07:06This says, Davi, we've always asked you about marriage.
07:09Do you have any examples of a married couple that you think is doing it right?
07:15You look at them and you envy what they have.
07:17Instead of you getting married, you've seen it done well by these people.
07:22Who are they and why?
07:23Oh, man.
07:23That's a really good question.
07:25I would say one of the first ones that come to my head is he was probably like my best friend through all of high school.
07:32My boy Mo.
07:33Mo married his high school sweetheart.
07:36But they waited.
07:37I mean, they dated through high school.
07:39He went to college, did his own thing.
07:41It wasn't like a rush type thing.
07:44But they've been married now, I don't know, maybe 10 years maybe or something.
07:49I don't know how long they've been married.
07:51But they have a daughter.
07:53They work.
07:54He has his own business.
07:55And now his wife is like hustling with him.
07:59He does painting.
08:00So she'll do like a lot of the estimates and like a lot of the emails and things like that.
08:05And I just went out to dinner with them last week.
08:09And they have the best relationship.
08:10They're still like best friends.
08:13They're great parents.
08:14They're on the same team from the moment they get up to that night.
08:19And I definitely think that they're doing it right.
08:22And those two are going to be together when they're 90 years old.
08:25You can just tell they have that bond.
08:27So does that motivate you?
08:29No.
08:30Okay.
08:31I had to throw that in there.
08:33No, I'm watching from a distance.
08:37Yeah.
08:37Yeah.
08:37They're doing it.
08:38They're definitely doing it right.
08:40For my boomerang, I really liked the question about the movie that you asked.
08:46The movie question.
08:46If you could insert your life, yourself into a movie role, what movie would it be?
08:51And which character would you play?
08:53I got mine if you need some time to think.
08:58What's yours?
08:59This, you guys are going to laugh because I know this isn't like wild 94.1 material.
09:05The usual members of the show don't really get into these kind of movies.
09:09What do you mean?
09:10I'm going to say the movie.
09:12Star Wars.
09:13Oh, okay.
09:14I'm putting myself in the land of Star Wars.
09:18I could be a Jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi.
09:22But you got to pick a role, though.
09:24Like, your life goes into Star Wars.
09:26Are you Luke Skywalker?
09:27I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi.
09:29Mastered Jedi.
09:30Okay.
09:31Right on the council.
09:32Me and O have nothing.
09:34Right.
09:34I have no reference on this whatsoever.
09:36That's what I'm saying.
09:37I mean, Master Jedi.
09:39Right.
09:39Is he married?
09:40So your wife is looking at this like, really, man?
09:44You could at least speak Luke?
09:45No, no.
09:46So even Luke, you know, when you're a Jedi, you're on the council.
09:51You're not allowed to have relationships.
09:53It's kind of like a Buddhist mentality.
09:57It's kind of like the army of the world out there.
10:00But you're a Jedi.
10:01You've got powers.
10:02You know, you can move objects with your mind.
10:04You can change people's thoughts with the force.
10:08You've got a lightsaber.
10:09You could have joined the Avengers and got powers and still got the smash.
10:13Like, you know.
10:13So I got Margot Robbie and you got a lightsaber?
10:15Right.
10:16That's what I'm saying.
10:16I win.
10:17Like, come on, dog.
10:18All the people listening right now know I really won that.
10:20I mean, trust me.
10:21I know there are some Star Wars fans out there.
10:23But there's a lot of us that are listening like, I don't know what he talking about.
10:27Nah, y'all know.
10:28Because if I had to pick Star Wars, I'd have had to be like, what?
10:31Lando Calrissian?
10:32Or what is Samuel L. Jackson's character?
10:36I got to be like him?
10:36Oh, Mace Windu.
10:38Yeah, right.
10:39There's only two black dudes in there.
10:41So I was like, let's see.
10:43If I was picking a movie, I think I would probably pick the movie Boomerang.
10:49Boomerang.
10:49Boomerang is Eddie Murphy.
10:51He was at, I love the fact that A, the fashion is key.
10:55He was sleeping with Halle Berry and sleeping with Robin, who was with Mike Tyson, Robin Givens.
11:03So he was sleeping with them, and he was running an ad agency and just fly.
11:08And the movie is just like, the movie was probably my favorite movie up until like my adulthood.
11:15Like I love that movie.
11:17And I just, I could see, and it ends well too.
11:21I mean, that's the other thing.
11:22He didn't go to jail like Dobby wanted to do.
11:24He wasn't stuck with a lightsaber like yours.
11:27Like he went through some turmoil or whatever, but he had dope friends, and he had great fashion.
11:32He had a bunch of money.
11:34He was running an ad agency and killing it, and ended up getting the girl at the end.
11:38So that's probably mine right there.
11:39I'd want to slide into Boomerang.
11:41All right.
11:42Love should have brought your ass home last night.
11:44Yeah, that's one of the best movies ever.
11:46All right, well, Dobby, it's a wrap on you, dog.
11:48All right?
