00:00Trying to help out Ryan this morning.
00:01I will tell you this, he is very nonchalant.
00:04Yeah.
00:05I couldn't tell if he was really into Ashley or if he was just more like, yeah, whatever.
00:10I know, but his mannerisms say that he's calling us to find out what is going on, so he's obviously interested in her.
00:18They met on Hinge.
00:19They just went out casually, had a few drinks.
00:22He said everything went really well, but sent a couple of texts and no response.
00:26So we need to know what's going on for him.
00:28Yeah, I also like the fact that he said, yeah, my buddy said call.
00:31He listens to you guys.
00:32He said call you.
00:33All right, dude.
00:34We can help.
00:35All right, so we're going to try to call Ashley right now and see if we can get her on the phone.
00:53Hello, good morning.
00:54Hi, good morning.
00:55Is this Ashley?
00:56This is she.
00:57Hi, Ashley.
00:58Thank you for answering the phone this morning.
01:00This is JR and Kevin over here at 995QIK.
01:04How you doing?
01:04Hello.
01:06What?
01:07Yeah.
01:08Tampa Bay's morning crew.
01:10Is this a joke?
01:11It's not a joke.
01:12It is really us.
01:14We wanted to see if we could have a couple minutes of your time, Ashley, to actually talk
01:17to you about someone who's really interested in you, we think.
01:21Oh, okay.
01:22That perked her up.
01:25Well, we're going to ask you about this date you went on with a guy named Ryan.
01:29Do you remember Ryan?
01:31My God.
01:32Uh-oh.
01:34Do you remember Ryan, I guess?
01:35Are you kidding me?
01:36Are you kidding me right now?
01:37No.
01:38He called us and he wanted to see what was going on with you because I guess he hasn't heard
01:41back from you.
01:42Set your guys' date.
01:44He was the most cocky and condescending human being I have ever met in my entire life.
01:51Oh, boy.
01:52He was very condescending to you?
01:54Can I ask in which way?
01:56Let me tell you the entire story because I don't know what picture he's painting for you
02:01guys, but my family, they own a small business and they work very, very hard.
02:07This business, it's been in our family for generations.
02:10And he flat out says that all small businesses fail.
02:15Now, you have to understand that my parents are immigrants.
02:17They're from the Caribbean.
02:18And they have provided for me and my sister for so many years.
02:22And I was super offended.
02:25And I just sat there looking at him and he's going on and on discrediting every single thing
02:30that my family has done and how hard my parents have worked.
02:34Like, it was just so unreal that he's sitting there talking like if he's ever even had a
02:42business before.
02:42Like, he doesn't know.
02:43And he was just being so adamant and talking down on me and my family and us and our business.
02:49It was just too much, guys.
02:52Well, let me say this.
02:52First off, I think it's amazing what your parents have done, you know, starting a small
02:57business, being immigrants here.
02:59You know, it's a story that we do here.
03:01And it's always impressive, you know, being an entrepreneur like that, especially in a country
03:05that is foreign to you.
03:06So I just want to let you know that we think that is very commendable and good for your parents
03:10and providing for you.
03:11And like you said, it's been through many generations.
03:14Why did this come up?
03:16I mean, obviously, you were probably talking about your families and whatnot.
03:18What was the things that he said specifically about the business?
03:22He literally was speaking about it like if he was the authority on everything business
03:27related, talking about because of the pandemic and all these businesses are failing and it
03:32makes no sense going into business or starting a business.
03:35You basically said that all small businesses fail and it makes no sense and it's not the
03:39way to go.
03:40So, wow, man, I mean, that's rough.
03:44That is rough.
03:44Know your audience for crying out loud.
03:46Geez.
03:46Yeah, seriously.
03:47Well, actually, I could see why that would be very offensive, you know, especially when
03:50it comes to family.
03:52We actually have Ryan on the phone, actually.
03:54I want to bring him back on because I, you know, I don't think there's really an excuse
03:57for this, but I want to hear what he has to say.
03:58Ryan, you there?
04:00Yeah, I'm here.
04:01I'm still here.
04:01I mean, you just heard what she had to say.
04:03I mean, I don't want to speak for you, Ashley, but it almost sounded like she was getting a
04:06little emotional there.
04:07I mean, it sounds like you really hurt somebody's feelings.
04:09I don't know, Ash, why you think I'm discrediting your family.
04:13I don't know why you're being so uptight about this.
04:15You know, I think it's cool your parents have a business, but I mean, come on.
04:18I mean, you're watching the news, right?
04:20You've seen how all these businesses are failing every day.
04:23You know, they don't have a successful business model.
04:25I mean, you ask them, it's not going to last.
04:28You don't know anything about their business model.
04:30You don't know anything about us.
04:32You basically told me that they're running their business to the ground.
04:34You don't know.
04:35You just can't speak on people's business affairs like this.
04:39I'm just being honest with you.
04:41I mean, most businesses don't, small businesses do not make it.
04:45They're meant to fail.
04:46I mean, they have to know this, right?
04:48My parents have been through worse, worse situations than this, and they are survivors,
04:53okay, they are the American dream, and nothing can break them.
04:57They have a work ethic that you clearly know nothing about, or else you wouldn't.
05:01No, I get all that.
05:03That's all great.
05:05I get all that.
05:05I'm just giving you the facts.
05:06These are the facts, though.
05:08I mean, if you don't want to believe the reality of it, that's your business.
05:12That's your family's business, but I'm just letting you know, statistically, I mean,
05:16small businesses, they go right into the ground, and if that's what you want to get behind,
05:20I mean, I hope that you're going to have more sense in getting into the family business,
05:24and maybe you'll do something else.
05:25We'll see.
05:26Oh, my God.
05:27Guys, this is taking me right back to the day where I just had to sit and listen to this
05:31disgusting human being.
05:32Do not talk about my family.
05:34They have a successful business.
05:35You don't know anything.
05:36I'm not talking about small businesses.
05:39I think that's great that they want to start, that they're hard workers.
05:42I respect hard work.
05:44I'm just being honest with you.
05:45You know, I didn't think you were going to get offended.
05:47I mean, how could she not get offended, man?
05:50You are basically discrediting her family.
05:53If you just say you're talking about small businesses, that's what her family does.
05:58Yeah, but you have to separate the two.
06:00This is business.
06:01This is not personal.
06:02This is business.
06:03It's personal to her, though, man.
06:04Reality is reality, and if you don't want to follow the numbers, then that's...
06:10I'm just being honest.
06:11I'm sorry.
06:12I mean, I'm just telling it like it is.
06:15Do you all hear this guy right now?
06:17We do, and I don't think, Ashley, you need to hear anymore.
06:20I don't care of it, to be honest with you.
06:21No.
06:21Lose my number, and do not ever contact me again.
06:24Okay.
06:25All right.
06:25Well, Ashley, I just want to say once again, we commend your family on what they've done
06:30over multiple generations, and thank you, Ashley, and love to you and your family, all right?
06:37I appreciate it.
06:38You got it.
06:39Ryan, thank you for coming on, man.
06:40Have a great day.
06:41Yeah, sure.
06:42You guys as well.
