00:19through both world wars and the Spanish Civil War. She's now become the world's oldest person

00:23to ever survive the coronavirus at 113. Maria Branius, who was also, by the way, Spain's

00:30oldest living person, beat COVID-19 after being diagnosed with the disease in April. She

00:35self-isolated despite simultaneously suffering from a urine infection. Well, thanks for that.

00:41The great-grandmother, who has 13 grandkids, was asymptomatic.

00:48So she must not have any underlying health conditions then.

00:52I think it's just luck. Yeah. Sometimes it is, but sometimes, I mean, a lot of these

00:56cases, there's a lot of underlying health conditions, and that's what takes you out.

01:00How can you not at 113? I don't know. I mean, like, my grandma's 90 and she doesn't have anything.

01:26and you survived. And she's like, yeah, but I got a urine infection. Like, she threw that

01:31right out there. Because old people love to tell you what they do have going on.

01:35Everything. Oh, everything. My urine burnt.

01:37Urine and a tract infection. Oh my god.

01:39Which is so common for that age. And you know, cranberry juice doesn't even work.

01:42My biscuit of stings. Yeah. They tell you all the time.

01:48It's a Spanish old. It's hard to mix them. I'm trying to.

01:54But she's fine now. She's talking. She's walking. She's totally herself again.

01:59Aside from some small pains, she has nothing to complain about.

03:10They smoked a pack of cigarettes a day.

03:13They were always wasted.

03:15They ate fish and chips as like a regular meal.

03:18Like there's, all of their levels had to be through the roof.

03:21Yet, in their 80s, one guy in his 90s.

03:24I think it's because they were happy.

03:25It's remarkable.

03:27There's something to that.

03:29Like in maybe not like a stress-free life.

03:33You know, stress does so much damage to your body.

03:35You don't realize it.

03:38But if you, you know, if you don't have a big problem with stress.

03:44So this 113-year-old, she worried about nothing.

03:49She's like, I haven't had anyone to worry about in 27 years.

03:55We're going to need her to do something crazy.

03:57They're going to be like, that volcano was going to erupt.

03:59We need to lower you down.

04:00But the volcanic ash and acid and stuff doesn't affect it.

04:06Like they lower the rope down and they're like, nah, she's, she's probably gone now.

04:11Like that was a good sacrifice to this volcano.

04:13And then they start reeling it back up.

04:15And she's like, oh, hey, wow.

04:16It was hot down there.

04:17It was hot.

04:18I like the heat.

04:19It was a nice dry heat.

04:20Her clothes are all burned off, but she's like the mother of dragons.

04:24She's just fine.
