00:00You know, when I first got to Congress, I was genuinely shocked by how the place worked.

00:07Even having run against dark money in the first place, the everyday influence and corruption was astonishing.

00:17You know, even in Congress today, they have somehow conditioned themselves to believe that it's normal for members of Congress

00:25who have sworn an oath to the American people to somehow day trade individual stocks

00:32and make millions with the sensitive information we are entrusted with for the purpose of governing.

00:39I ask you this. How can anyone possibly make an objective vote on health care, energy, or even war

00:49when their personal money is tied up in pharmaceutical companies, oil and gas, or defense companies' stocks?

01:01And we just saw this play out this week with Trump's corrupt and disastrous tariff scheme.

01:10I hope that all of us see now that this whole tariff shuffle had nothing to do with manufacturing like they claimed.

01:19And it had everything to do with manipulating the markets so that they could quietly enrich their friends

01:26who bought the dip before reversing it all in the morning.

01:31Missoula, what I'm about to say is a matter of fact and not debate.

01:42He was found guilty of 34 felony counts of fraud, liable for sexual abuse.

01:57Of course he is lying and manipulating the stock market too.

02:02And I tell you, Donald Trump, when you want to look for the rapists and criminals in this country,

02:07make sure you can start by looking in the mirror.

02:22He's there to make himself rich, as well as the billionaires who scratch his back and the members of Congress who trade with him.

02:33But he's not there for you or for us or for the working people of Montana.

02:40And to be clear, I don't even care what party you are, Democrat or Republican.

02:46It doesn't matter what position one holds.

02:49Members of Congress holding and trading individual stock is wrong.
