00:01Pera opposition leader Razman Zakaria has been slapped with a six-month suspension from the State Legislative Assembly with immediate effect.
00:10The motion to suspend Razman was tabled by Onggun Piao and seconded by Shahul Zaman Yahya during the State Assembly sitting today, Sinar Haryan reported.
00:19The motion was approved by the Assembly in a voice vote.
00:24Razman, the Perat PAS chief, was referred to the Assembly's Rights and Privileges Committee in December.
00:31The controversial PAS leader has issued public apologies over various claims made against government leaders, including Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Perat DAP Chairman Ngakor Ming, and Saganbut MP Hannah Yeo.
00:44In February, he claimed that Yeo was linked to the Yeo family of the YTL corporation Berhad conglomerate.
00:51In December, Razman apologized to Ngak for accusing the DAP deputy chairman of being involved in a parade where some participants had waved the Chinese national flag.
