00:00You also have the welterweight Logan Storley going against Joseph Luciano.

00:04Of course, Storley, the longtime U.S. wrestler, was supposed to fight Umolatov,

00:08but Umolatov missed weight by almost four pounds, 3.6 pounds he missed.

00:13So they yanked him out of the fight.

00:15Not acceptable, not good enough.

00:16You're gone.

00:17Joseph Luciano now jumps in.

00:19The Australian was 10-3 with seven submission wins before this fight.

00:23He had one Bellator Champion Series fight before getting the main call-up here.

00:26And really, this was all of Storley.

00:30You know, he just dominated using that wrestling, taking his opponent down,

00:33trying to get the back, trying to, you know, push him up against the cage over and over and over.

00:3710-9s, all three rounds, 30-27 across the board.

00:41He moves on to the next round of this tournament.

00:43We'll see if anybody stopped that wrestling that he showed in his next matchup.

00:48Storley is 17-3.

00:50He'll face off against Masayaku Kikuri, who won his fight earlier in the night.

00:56Another featherweight battle was Jeremy Kennedy versus Moliv Habibulov.

01:00Kennedy, the Canadian, going against the Russian Habibulov, who won the 2021 PFL featherweight tournament.

01:05Hadn't fought since 2023.

01:07And this one was a victory for Habibulov, who gets a split decision win over Kennedy.

01:14A very interesting one back and forth.

01:15Kennedy did not like the decision.

01:17It was 29-28.

01:18All three ways, Habibulov got the win.

01:22Kennedy couldn't believe it, but I don't know why he couldn't believe it, honestly.

01:25When I was watching the fight, I thought Kennedy had a good first round,

01:28although the second and third were Habibulov.

01:30I thought he was doing a much better job of doing what he wanted to do, imposing his will,

01:34getting some good strikes, getting the takedowns to take his opponent against the mat.

01:38I am not sure why Kennedy really thought he won that fight, but he obviously did not.

01:43Not in the judges' eyes, not in my eyes.

01:45And now Habibulov, who's on as well.

01:48On the prelim card, you had Berkmanov against Thad Jean.

01:51Before I mentioned Thad Jean, who will be going on to semis, obviously.

01:54Before I get into this, you know now he was the winner.

01:56Berkmanov was the 31-year-old Russian.

01:58He was supposed to fight Zendeli, the PFL Europe champ, who was pulled out.

02:02So the alternate Thad Jean steps in on show notice.

02:0426-year-old American did what he wanted to do.

02:07He came in there, got the victory, showed why he was undefeated.

02:11He had a couple wins in the PFL over the last few years.

02:13And then now gets another one.

02:15He got a first-round KO, 425 into the first round.

02:19You know, it was a lot of feeling out early on.

02:22And Berkmanov went for the takedown early on.

02:25But Jean threw on the guillotine to stop him.

02:27You know, was able to, a couple other times, stop takedowns to the point that

02:30was really selling out to stop the takedowns.

02:31Berkmanov, you know, actually faked takedowns and then jumped up trying to

02:35throw some knees a couple times to see if he can catch his opponent.

02:38He could not.

02:38But then later in the fight, as we get laid into the round, you got a body

02:43kick with a body punch followed right away by Jean with about 40 seconds left.

02:46Berkmanov then catches a left hook that drops it to the mat.

02:50Jean jumps on his opponent, pounces on him, continues the pommel, gets the finish.

02:54Berkmanov moves to 17-3.

02:56Jean is now 9-0.

02:57And he said it didn't matter who was in front of him.

03:00He was supposed to be here a couple years ago running this tournament and didn't work

03:02out.

03:03Now he's going to do it here.

03:04And he is going to get a badass matchup against Jason, the ass-kicking machine.

03:08Jackson, these two guys, should give us some great stand-up.

03:12As we mentioned before in the featherweight tournament, Gabriel Braga beat Fred Dupras.

03:16Braga, the 26-year-old Brazilian, was supposed to be fighting Yves Landu.

03:21But Landu pulled out late.

03:23Instead, the alternate fighter, Fred Dupras, the Canadian, moves up, making his major

03:27promotion debut for a lot in Canada before that.

03:30And Braga gets the first round of submission, 437.

03:32He gets the face crank.

03:35You know, his opponent came game.

03:36The Canadian came in, was pretty much rushing him.

03:39But then he gets, Dupras threw the guillotine on Braga when Braga came for the takedown.

03:45You know, Dupras threw it on there.

03:46It was tight.

03:47Dupras, Dupras was in trouble.

03:49But being the veteran that he is, was able to wait it out, get out, eventually gets the

03:53back of his opponent later on when the position switches.

03:56Went for the rear naked choke, couldn't get it.

03:58But the face crank was enough that the Canadian taps out with 23 seconds left.

04:02He's now 8-2.

04:03Braga, 16-2.

04:04You also had Kikuri versus Giannis Bashar that we talked about earlier.

04:08Kikuri from Japan.

04:09Mostly Pancrease fighter.

04:10Bashar, the Tunisian fighter who's now fighting out of Greece for all small promotion fights

04:14before this one.

04:15Kikuri gets the TKO by round two retirement.

04:18Kikuri was going for some takedowns.

04:19Kikuri was doing a good job stuffing him.

04:21Towards the end of the first round, he looked like Bashar might have been getting tired.

04:24In the second round, Kikuri, by the end of that round, started picking him apart.

04:27And then Bashar decides he doesn't even want to get off the stool to answer the bell for the final round.

04:31Figured, I guess, that he was, you know, too tired to come back from the two rounds that he was probably down.

04:36He also had Kim over Kelly.

04:38Kim making his major promotion debut, beating Kelly, who's now on a two-fight losing streak.

04:42After being undefeated before that, he gets the submission win in that fight.
