00:38start to this season who wins game number one of this weekend set between two marquee clubs out in

00:44Los Angeles yeah well it looks like it's going to be the Dodgers based on the betting principles here

00:48right minus 196 is the opening number still sits at minus 198 is the actual live number which is

00:52interesting that creeps a little bit higher and also talking about the money line markets here

00:56everybody about eight out of every 10 tickets here coming in on the Dodgers still with that

01:01impressively high price point total this game opened up in New Jersey eight and a half that has dropped

01:05to eight and I actually agree with that if we're looking at the pitchers last year Matthew Boyd was

01:09a decent pitcher only saw 213 batters this year 45 batters that he's faced an 026 ISO power number

01:15to weighted on base percentage of 264 if we combine those now granted righties have gotten actually

01:21not righties he's been really good against a 0 ISO this year in a 198 weighted on base percentage

01:25he's actually gotten to a little bit of trouble with weighted on base percentage against left-handed

01:29batters which was interesting which no better left-handed batter in the business than he's going to see

01:33in Shohei Ohtani today but if you look at that lineup it's decent for the Dodgers no doubt

01:37Ohtani bets Edmund Hernandez and Will Smith but the bottom of that lineup Kike Hernandez

01:41Max Muncy Rojas and Pajes have not handled left-handed pitching all that well flip it over to the Chicago Cubs

01:47with Yamamoto on the mound facing them he was great last year 434 batters he faced a 135 ISO and a weighted

01:53on base percentage of 272 and a high K rate take a look at this year Ben limited innings again only

01:5844 batters he's faced a K rate combined of 34 percent to lefties 42 percent his weighted on base

02:05percentage against 304 now he's struggled a bit with right-handed batters which is interesting

02:09say Suzuki in the middle of that lineup might be a guy that could have the capability to do damage

02:14by the way Kyle Tucker ripping the cover off the baseball this year as well a great offseason

02:20acquisition yeah for Chicago DRS as you well know down in regional Philadelphia down in South Jersey

02:27here in New York City it's not great weather this weekend on the east coast for early April we're

02:34talking low 40s high 30s and a ton of rain and wind expected so as we set the stage for an interleague

02:42intriguing matchup this weekend of the Bronx I would be surprised if all these games are played

02:48between the Yankees and the Giants tonight New York a slight favorite for the opener with Marcus

02:53Stroman on the mound minus 126 on that money line Robbie Ray goes on the other side for the Giants

03:00Sam Fran a 9-3 start to this year what should we expect tonight inside Yankee Stadium this and again

03:06it's a shame that we're not getting 75 80 degrees and a pretty clean outlook but we had the opening number

03:10was a split at minus 110 here for the New York Yankees that has risen now as you saw that graphic

03:14to minus 126 the total is eight across the board and Ben is right 46 degrees at first pitch raining

03:20the forecast 10 mile no winds blowing in directly from center field the one thing we like Robbie Ray

03:25last year was a terrible pitcher particularly to left-handed batters which is interesting this year

03:29still continue to struggle slightly with limited about of left-handed pitching but the right-handed

03:33batters a 250 iso power number anticipated starting lineup tonight Jason Dominguez the only guy

03:38below average against left-handed pitching because the Yankees have had a pretty good start

03:41against lefties San Francisco however should be able to get to Marcus Stroman their left-handed

03:47batters instead of a few of them tonight keep an eye maybe a sneaky over even with bad weather

03:59around the bigs Baltimore and Toronto the O's and the J's in a divisional duel today inside Camden Yards

04:08DRS the team with the worst record right now in the American League East it would be the O's at a five

04:14and eight mark yet Baltimore still second best price to win the American League pennant behind another

04:20divisional mate in the New York Yankees what do the Orioles need to figure out this weekend to get

04:25back on track maybe just better weather in their own ballpark as you see today mid-40s there rain in

04:30the forecast and double-digit winds blown directly from Utah Street out there in right field so we'll see

04:36if we can hit some home runs out of the ballpark maybe to left field but if we are taking a look at

04:40the pitching matchup here you take a look at the Toronto Blue Jays with Francis on the mound last year

04:44408 batters he faced how about this 175 ISO which is average and a below average 275 weighted on base

04:50percentage which is good and also neither side of the plate here being a right-handed pitcher

04:54affected him all that much it was basically equal which is a good sign because sometimes like hey he

04:58really deals with lefties very well but not the right-hand side you take a look at this year

05:02it's actually a lot of the same ISO power number a little bit elevated for lefties but down for

05:07righties weighted on base percentage low for lefties but a little bit up for righties here's the key

05:11again we don't have hitting conditions yet at Cam the Yards which is a shame because Rutchman O'Hearn

05:15Westberg Mullins and O'Neal all have really elevated weighted on base percentages and also ISO power

05:20numbers and really low k rates against right-handed pitching something to keep an eye on but if we take

05:24a look at the opposite side today and that's with Sogano on the mound obviously we don't have any

05:29statistics in Major League Baseball for him last year but this year we do only have 41

05:32at bad batters that he's faced how about an ISO ban of 108 and a weighted on base percentage of 302

05:37and a terrible looking lineup for the Blue Jays against right-handed pitching this season alone

05:42so maybe today it's just by default you at least have a decent matchup on your side for the Baltimore

05:48Orioles the O's a minus 130 money line favorite inside Camden Yards DRS any spots on this full slate

05:55Friday with the host of pro baseball today that you find some value across the bigs yeah we're going to

06:01tell it's it's it's tough going in April because you have to adjust some scenarios yesterday I went oh

06:05missed out on a couple things but more relying on the average hitters to be above average has been a

06:12little bit of my downfall the past two days meaning guys batting in the 6th 7th 8th and 9th hole years

06:16with good numbers to start the season through 25 at bats you know that's going to average out and so

06:20it looks like they're already averaging out so more for me the focus on the top five batters in the

06:24lineup with good matchups and bringing a little bit of the statistics from last year into this year

06:29but also make no mistake about it there are some decent looks out here across but I do want to make sure

06:33I'm not burning myself saying boy I like this matchup but it's 38 degrees in that ballpark there

06:39are some chances with some warmer temperatures in the warmer weather cities and domes that I might be

06:43approaching a little bit more today than outside but I told you like that Yankees game it's like it

06:48just brings you back in like it has some intrigue like man why can't this game go over and then it's

06:51one to nothing in the fifth and it's like it's freezing here Donnie what are you doing it's freezing

06:56it's cold it's breezy and there should be some rain again if a couple of those games between the

07:02Giants and the Yanks get postponed throughout the weekend I would not be overly surprised 82 runs

07:08scored by the Yankees the most in the American League 96 runs scored so far by the Chicago Cubs

07:16that's the most in all of baseball they have played 15 games but they are hitting the ball well we showed

07:22you what Chicago has this weekend out in LA against the Dodgers 72 runs for the St. Louis Cardinals

07:29the RS they will host under the arch this weekend your Philadelphia Phillies Aaron Nola in the Phillies

07:34a slight favorite for the opening game of that set today against St. Louis some good American League

07:40Central divisional duels we've got the Tigers and the Twins we've got the Royals and the Guardians

07:46starting today as well San Diego more than a two dollar money line favorite for the opener against

07:52the atrocious Colorado Rockies Padres best record in the National League at 10 and three rocks worst

07:59record alongside the Atlanta Braves at three and nine by the way the Braves headed Tampa to take on

08:05the Rays the race slight underdog in their opening game of this weekend set against the Rays at George

08:10Steinbrenner field yeah no that's an interesting one too because you take a look again some warmer

08:16weather conditions and also a really late night game for the Braves and the Phillies that's usually a

08:21detriment when you're flying out it's akin to what we look in the regular season that Sunday night

08:25baseball curse almost like hey man I just played late into the night then I got to fly out and play

08:29a game on a Monday those teams usually at a detriment at that point and maybe the Braves and the Phillies

08:33combined and by the way Nola is a name that you understand but I don't even know if Nola's the best

08:38pitcher on the mound today going up against St. Louis which could be a problem for them keep an

08:41eye on that one oh who's on the other side Pallant yeah Pallant had very good numbers from last year

08:48and a decent start to this season so it's one of those where it's like hey Phillies will bounce

08:51back against lowly St. Louis who was picked to be dead last on the odds race at FanDuel that's not

08:56the case early on and I don't know if Nola's up to the task today we'll see the cards got off to a

09:02great start but they have dropped seven of their last 10 they are now five and seven
