00:03has raised that the American and Caribbean must work together to attract a national integration.

00:13Today, 15 years after the first meeting of this community,

00:18we find ourselves in a very different international situation.

00:23These are times of radical changes in world trade that affect our countries.

00:28Each of us, with legitimacy, seeks the best for our peoples and nations.

00:35However, I believe that today, more than ever, is a good time to recognize that Latin America

00:42and the Caribbean require unity and solidarity from their governments and their peoples,

00:48in order to strengthen a greater regional integration, always within the framework of

00:53mutual respect and compliance with the sovereignty and independence of our countries

00:58and the trade agreements that each of US may have.
