00:01Well, it was quite the game, was it?

00:03I think last night, Scott, was a case in which a game doesn't have to be high scoring to be entertaining.

00:09It was an entertaining basketball game.

00:11It was competitive.

00:12It wasn't the prettiest game, but it was old school, right?

00:15I mean, that's what these championships used to be like, you know, 60 to 58, 65, 63, et cetera.

00:22But I don't like to use this term very much, Scott, but I'm almost, I still can't believe Houston didn't win.

00:28They were the better team.

00:30Like, they did everything they had to do except in the final two minutes.

00:34They absolutely, they absolutely, I don't like to use the joke word, but there's no other way of saying it.

00:42Dude, they had like five empty possessions in a row at the end.

00:46And it was LJ Cryer.

00:47He just lost control, Scott.

00:49Absolutely lost control.

00:51There was an instance they were up by three.

00:54They were up by two or three.

00:55They could have got another lead.

00:56I don't know if you remember.

00:57He stepped on the baseline.

00:58And there was no one under the basket either.

01:00It looked like he was going to score.

01:01He steps on the baseline out of bounds.

01:03Unforced there.

01:04Next possession, he goes down and he finds himself lost under the paint.

01:09And he just sort of throws, he tries to pass the ball to nobody.

01:13He tried an incredibly hard, sort of one-handed, sort of shot put shot once in traffic.

01:18Then the other kid kicked the ball out of bounds going down the court, Scott.

01:24And then they don't, then they double dribble.

01:25They don't get the three-point shot off.

01:27I mean, there's no other way of saying this besides, guys, like you lost.

01:31They didn't win.

01:33You lost.

01:34And you talked about the free throws.

01:36You know, yeah, you only missed five of them.

01:38Well, you lost by two.

01:40They only missed three of them.

01:41You only, you know what I mean?

01:45You didn't.

01:46Yeah.

01:46It's like you had the game.

01:48Like, from a work effort.

01:51I thought it was kind of strange.

01:53I mean, I thought they did a good job in the first half of just letting them play, Scott.

01:57I mean, that was the whole thing to me, like, for Houston.

02:01I thought Houston was going to have a chance if the refs were going to let them sort of really play.

02:04And they did.

02:06And you saw that in the first half.

02:08And then in the second half, I don't know if, you know, a memo came in, Scott.

02:13If a call came in to the refs, like, who's the boss?

02:17Like, the NBA, I get it.

02:18The NHL, I get it.

02:20Who's the boss of, like, the NCAA refs?

02:22I don't know.

02:24Like, is that the commissioner?

02:25No.

02:25Like, I don't, you know what I mean?

02:26So, I don't really, is the commissioner of the NCAA going to call in at the half and go, you're not calling enough fouls?

02:32I don't even think they had a commissioner.

02:34Yeah, exactly.

02:35Like, who are the NCAA?

02:36Like, who's, like, who would be the one to tell the refs?

02:39But, Scott, it was like it was two different crews.

02:41You know what I mean?

02:42I mean, it was like, yeah, we had a new refereeing crew in the second.

02:45I was like, whoa, you guys are calling this completely different than you were in the first half.
