00:00U.S. President Donald Trump issued a new tariff on U.S. trading partners.
00:07As of April 5, the U.S. will issue a 10-percent baseline tariff on all economies while the higher tariffs will be imposed on the countries
00:17that the U.S. considers to be the worst offenders.
00:21Among the major affected countries are China, which has issued a 34-percent tariff or has reached 54-percent along with the previously issued levy.
00:33The European Union has a 20-percent tariff, 26-percent tariff in India, 25-percent tariff in South Korea, while 24-percent in Japan.
00:44Canada and Mexico are not included in the new tariff, but they will maintain the previously set 25-percent tariff on them.
00:54In the White House, the Administration also studied the increased tariffs on semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and critical minerals.
01:05You see the numbers. The numbers are so disproportionate. They're so unfair.
01:11At the same time, we will establish a minimum baseline tariff of 10 percent.
01:15You notice that on the chart. And that'll be on other countries to help rebuild our economy and to prevent cheating.
01:23So we're going to have a minimum of cheating and we're going to be very severe on the people that at the gate that watch the tariffs and watch the product coming in because there's been a lot of a lot of bad things happening at the gate.
