00:00Sa iba pang mga balita na itaboy ng Philippine Coast Guard ang isang Chinese research vessel

00:06na nagsasagawa ng iligal aktividad sa loob ng ating Exclusive Economic Zone.

00:12Ayon sa Coast Guard na monitor ang pagpasog ng naturang research vessel sa layo 92 nautical miles

00:20mula sa dalampasigan ng Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

00:23Agad na ipinadala ang BRP Teresa Magbanwa at isang aircraft ng Philippine Coast Guard

00:29para i-monitor, i-challenge at i-escort ang naturang barko.

00:35Sa kalagitan ng operasyon, nakita ng Coast Guard ang isang manned deep-sea submersible vessel

00:43na lubapit sa naturang research vessel at pagkatapos ay kinuha ng isa nitong crew.

00:49Ang naturang submersible ay ang Shanghai Yongxi na kayo mano magsagawa ng deep-sea exploration

00:57at scientific research hanggang sa may lalim na 4,500 meters.

01:04Nag-deploy din ito ng rigid hull inflatable boat na nag-recover naman sa isang yellow-colored

01:12unidentified equipment na posibleng ginagamit sa marine scientific research activities.

01:20Ayon sa Coast Guard, ang naturang aksyon ay malinaw na ebidensya na nagsasagawa ng

01:25illegal marine scientific research ng China sa loob ng ating EEZ.

01:31Pagtitiyak naman ang pamalaan, patuloy ang maigpit na magbabantay

01:35laban sa mga illegal aktibidad sa ating teritoryo.

01:38This is the first time that we were able to basically document that the Chinese research

01:47vessels are deploying such submersible research capability.

01:53Para sa akin, ang nakakabahala lang is because it has the capability for deep-sea mapping

02:00which can be used for submarine deployment as well.
