00:00Aaron we've got some nasty storms in many different directions from your location
00:07Yeah, that's right, I'm just off to the east of Memphis actually headed westbound back through Memphis
00:13I talked to you guys earlier as I was going through Memphis to try and track a couple of tornado-worn supercells
00:18I came up from the south. I was able to get right underneath those supercells
00:22wall clouds funnel clouds lots of CG lightning
00:25Fortunately these supercells were not able to produce tornadoes
00:29I let them move off to the east and I've shifted my focus now to west of Memphis
00:33I'm more concerned about these supercells now approaching the Mississippi River the I-55 corridor
00:39Which does include Memphis as well. These supercells do have a history of producing tornadoes at least brief tornadoes
00:45I've seen some confirmed reports on social media of some of those tornadoes
00:49So I'm making my way back to the west now
00:52We're gonna go see if we can intercept some of those supercells just to the west of Memphis right here coming into darkness
00:58And a sunset so the most dangerous part of the day is still to come here with supercells that are tornado-worn on the ground
01:06Moving towards Memphis and dark about to hit so it's gonna about to be nightfall people are gonna start going to sleep soon
01:11So it's important if you are still in the path of all these storms to keep those weather radios on alerts on
01:17Make sure you're paying attention to the AccuWeather network and be ready to enact that plane plan
01:21Your safety plan if you find yourself in the path of one of these tornado-worn supercells tonight back to you guys
01:26All right, Aaron
01:27Give me an update on what kind of conditions that you are experiencing right now near the Memphis area as far as what are the winds?
01:33Like what's the humidity like? What is the temperature that you're experiencing?
01:39Yeah, so earlier in the day, you know we had these fierce southerly winds now that we have storms coming through those low-level winds
01:46Try it
01:48Gone down in the speed as the air is lifted up into these supercells in the vicinity
01:53So not quite as windy right now, but plenty of moisture in place. We're out east of the cold front
02:00So we're still in this this warm sector that is primed to create supercells and possibly tornadoes right now back to you guys
02:08Aaron, thank you so much. And yes, we've seen prolific
02:11lightning in addition to these storms
02:12So in addition to the large hail damaging winds and obviously the tornado threat you also want to watch out for your lightning safety tips
02:18As well, just if you can if especially if you're in the path of these storms stay indoors if you can
02:23So we're gonna take you live right now to radar and past couple radar scans is showing that we still have this line of severe
02:29weather eight nine hundred miles stretching from Chicago down through Texarkana and Dallas
02:34but in addition to the main line that we are tracking we also have a
02:38Secondary area here a front in front of the main line that we are primarily tracking these storms right here
02:44Which are the ones that are primarily moving through?
02:46Tennessee these ones also packing a pretty good punch to include a low-level rotation signature
