00:00Business outlook in the country turns positive in the second half of 2025, rising to 45.4

00:06as compared to 31.2% in the first quarter of the year, forecasting business confidence

00:12to remain steady at 56.4% over the next 12 months.

00:17According to Banco Central ng Pilipinas or BSP, the slight decline during the first quarter

00:23of 2025 compared to the end of 2024 was due to natural slowdowns in businesses after the

00:29holidays, particularly for export and import companies.

00:33However, businesses continue to adapt to changes in the economy.

00:37Meanwhile, the equipment and construction sectors remain stable at 71.4%.

00:43This is based on the confidence index, which measures the level of trust businesses have

00:48in the country's economy.

00:50Although market prices of basic goods are expected to rise in 2025, the inflation rate

00:56remains within the government's target range of 2% to 4%.

01:00According to Malacanang, the administration will strive to maintain or improve the current

01:05state of the economy to attract more investors to the country.
