00:17Last Eid was really dark, but this Eid, thanks to God, we feel that victory is coming to

00:27all of Sudan, and with the will of God, we are hopeful.

00:35For most Muslims around the world, Eid is traditionally a time of joy and celebration

00:39characterized by communal prayers and festivities that often include family visits, gatherings,

00:46outings and new attire.

00:52This year Eid came in an exceptional way, especially after two years of war, and after

00:59the liberation of Khartoum, thanks to God, these circumstances of displacement are faced

01:07by everyone in Khartoum state, as we are not in our primary homes, our actual houses.

01:19The ongoing war in Sudan, which started in 2023, has caused over 28,000 deaths and displaced

01:25millions.

01:26The military gained control of more key buildings in the capital last week.
