Kenyan Muslims pray for Gaza as they celebrate Eid Al-Adha  As Muslims around the world celebrated Eid Al-Adha on Friday, in Nairobi Kenya, the gathered crowds prayed for their fellow Muslims in Gaza. After 20 months of war, more than 50,000 people killed, and almost no food, they will struggle to celebrate the event this year. 00:00As Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Adha on Friday, here in Nairobi, Kenya,

00:07the gathered crowds prayed for their fellow Muslims in Gaza.

00:11After 20 months of war, more than 50,000 people dead and almost no food,

00:17they will struggle to celebrate this year.

00:20We remind Muslims about the importance of unity and being your sister and your brother's keeper.

00:26And especially today, Muslims, the thing that pains us most is what is happening to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine.

00:34We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to give them victory.

00:37They are facing oppression, they are facing migration that is being done to them.

00:43A lot of injustice, a lot of lives being lost, a lot of properties being destroyed.

00:48We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to hear their cries.

00:50We feel their pain as much as we are far from them.

00:52But what unites us is the Muslim brotherhood.

00:55So we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to give them victory and to give victory to all the other Muslims,

00:59wherever they are, if they are facing any kind of oppression.

01:02Eid al-Adha commemorates the Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his own son.

01:09The day is marked with prayers, animal sacrifice and the sharing of food and gifts.
