00:21Seems like a good situation.

00:23So when Sam Darnold comes open, he wants a commitment.

00:26He wants somebody that wants to give him a shot to be the guy.

00:30And I don't think the Steelers had any interest in that.

00:34I don't really think they had that interest in Justin Fields.

00:36They would have kept him.

00:37They liked having him, but they didn't want to commit $40 million and say, yes, you're

00:46They want a bridge quarterback.

00:47They want a guy here for one year and maybe part of another one.

00:52And when you look at those options, Rogers is probably the best player out there.

01:10I think Mike Tomlin feels like he can handle anyone now that we may find out that that

01:18But this will certainly stress his ability to do that.

01:23But I think he believes you could give him any group of personalities and especially

01:28for one year, he can make it work.

01:31But I think that's why Rogers had to come to Pittsburgh.

01:35They had to talk.

01:36They had to meet because it's not going to be like it was when he was with the Jets.

01:41He's not going to be the general manager and the quarterback.

01:44Like he's not going to not come to minicamp with the Steelers.

01:47I'll tell you that.

01:48Like they're not going to put up with that.
