00:00To prevent agricultural products from going to waste and to help reduce post-harvest losses,

00:06President Ferdinand Marquez Jr. convened officials from the Department of Agriculture, or DA,

00:11to discuss measures that would enhance the sector's efficiency.

00:16One key solution is the establishment of post-harvest facilities to process and distribute farm-produced

00:24more effectively.

00:25According to DA Secretary Francisco Cholorell Jr., the government plans to build two megafood hubs.

00:33One will be in Clark-Pampanga, serving as a trading center for products from Northern Luzon,

00:38while the other one will be in Quezon Province, to accommodate goods from Southern Luzon.

00:44These hubs are aimed at improving logistics, reduce wastage, and boost farmers' incomes

00:51by ensuring better market access for their agricultural products.
