Liverpool reflects on five years since lockdown

What’s the one thing that’s changed most in your life since the first lockdown five years ago?

00:00So, five years from lockdown. I don't know if I'm getting older or just more confused.

00:07I seem to both remember it vividly but forget how long it lasted for. So, I seem to have

00:12lost two years of my life when I see people. So, I've not seen you for a couple of years

00:16and it turns out it's six because I've not seen them since before lockdown.

00:19Well, I find people have been a lot less social. I find that technology has increased quite

00:28a lot that we haven't been able to keep up with, especially as older people.

00:31People have long memories of not being able to go to funerals and also what the government

00:37were doing. It seemed like it was one rule for them and one rule for everyone else.

00:42It's been a hard time, especially for the children.

00:45For me, it was, and I know it was very difficult for many people, it was financially very difficult

00:51but it was a precious time because my kids were of a particular age and I got to spend

00:54that time with them. But it was very, very difficult for lots of people for lots of reasons.
