Part 1: The Crow Finds the Bread
پہلا حصہ: کوّے کو روٹی ملی

One sunny morning, a clever black crow was flying over the village. Suddenly, he saw a piece of bread lying on the ground. The crow quickly swooped down, grabbed the bread in his beak, and flew to a tall tree.

ایک خوبصورت صبح، ایک ہوشیار کالا کوّا گاؤں کے اوپر اُڑ رہا تھا۔ اچانک، اُس نے زمین پر ایک ٹکڑا روٹی دیکھی۔ کوّے نے فوراً نیچے آ کر اپنی چونچ میں روٹی پکڑ لی اور ایک اونچے درخت پر جا بیٹھا۔

Part 2: The Fox’s Plan
دوسرا حصہ: لومڑی کی چالاکی

Nearby, a hungry fox was watching the crow. She wanted the bread for herself. The fox thought of a trick. She walked under the tree and said, "Oh dear crow, you have the most beautiful voice! I have heard that your singing is magical. Can you sing for me?"

قریب ہی ایک بھوکی لومڑی کوّے کو دیکھ رہی تھی۔ وہ روٹی خود لینا چاہتی تھی۔ لومڑی نے ایک چال سوچی۔ وہ درخت کے نیچے جا کر بولی، ’’اے پیارے کوّے، تمہاری آواز بہت خوبصورت ہے! میں نے سنا ہے کہ تمہارا گانا جادوئی ہے۔ کیا تم میرے لیے گاؤ گے؟‘‘

Part 3: The Crow’s Mistake
تیسرا حصہ: کوّے کی غلطی

The crow felt proud. He wanted to show the fox his beautiful voice. So, he opened his beak and started to sing, "Caw! Caw!" But as soon as he opened his beak, the bread fell down! The fox quickly grabbed it and ran away, laughing.

کوّا بہت مغرور ہوا۔ وہ لومڑی کو اپنی خوبصورت آواز سنانا چاہتا تھا۔ اس نے اپنی چونچ کھولی اور گانے لگا، ’’کاں! کاں!‘‘ لیکن جونہی اُس نے اپنی چونچ کھولی، روٹی نیچے گر گئی! لومڑی نے فوراً اسے پکڑا اور ہنستے ہوئے بھاگ گئی۔

Part 4: The Crow Learns a Lesson
چوتھا حصہ: کوّے کو سبق ملا

The crow felt foolish and sad. He realized that the fox had tricked him with sweet words. From that day, the crow decided never to trust false praises again.

کوّا خود کو بیوقوف محسوس کرنے لگا اور اُداس ہو گیا۔ اسے احساس ہوا کہ لومڑی نے میٹھے الفاظ سے اُسے بیوقوف بنایا ہے۔ اس دن سے کوّے نے فیصلہ کیا کہ وہ کبھی جھوٹی تعریفوں پر یقین نہیں کرے گا۔

Moral: Beware of flattery!
