00:00The Banco Central ng Pilipinas or BSP said in its latest monetary policy report that

00:06the inflation could exceed the target range later this year due to base effects.

00:11Consumer price growth is expected to remain between the 2.4 percent goal until 2026.

00:17According to the central bank, it could exceed the target range in the latter part of 2025

00:22mainly due to base effects from easing commodity price pressures in 2024.

00:27However, risks to the outlook remain broadly balanced with the latest projections expected

00:32to be not materially different from those made in December.
