00:00Price increases may have continued to slow down this April due to lower prices of basic goods
00:04such as rice, pork and tomatoes. According to Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation or RCBC
00:10Chief Economist Michael Rickefort, inflation may have decreased to 1.6% in April, lower than the
00:171.8% recorded in March of this year. Rickefort also emphasized on one of the main reasons
00:23being the drop in rice prices, which greatly helped lower overall inflation.
