00:06Well, first of all, iHeart iHeart. Happy to be here in my hometown of LA. First time I heard myself on the radio

00:34Yeah, well, it's our nomination and it feels very full circle because the year prior to that I was on the main stage and our

00:42Song together hadn't even released when I invited him to come and join me on stage because for me, you know

00:49Community our culture is so important and putting musica mexicana on a global stage like Coachella

00:55I knew was gonna be the best way to represent myself and our people and he's a rock star and obviously he

01:01Belongs on a stage like that. So when he invited me back the next year for his main stage moment

01:06I was a truly honored and very proud of him

01:09Have you been working on any new music and when might be we be able to hear something?

01:13Yes

01:14So the last two years I released my last two regional Mexican albums esquinas and encuentros and they're kind of like this

01:20Coming home to myself

01:22Experience as an artist that I didn't know I need it so badly and then I just haven't known how to stop working

01:28So I'm still making new music and new music is coming very very soon. So I'm excited

01:32Can't wait to hear it and we've also seen you do some acting over the years

01:35Could we ever see you on the big screen on the small screen in the future? I hope so. I love it so much

01:40I think it was the pandemic that made me think about what I love so much about you know

01:45What I do and I think more than anything it's the storytelling and the connection

01:48So I think acting is an extension of that world as well and we'll see what what comes our way

01:54Do you have any dream roles that you'd love to take on that we can manifest right now?

01:58Okay, so there's a personal one

02:00I would love to do a scary movie because I hate them and I heard that if you do a scary movie it makes them

02:04Less scary because then you know that they're not actually scary

02:06and then another one is like a rom-com because I grew up on all the greatest like JLo rom-coms like hello like

02:16Made in Manhattan like hello. Yeah, I gotta do a rom-com for sure
