00:00And TELESUR is also celebrating its 20th anniversary on the streets with the Cuban people,

00:06and for that we are going live to Havana with our correspondent Belén de los Santos.

00:10Hello Belén, what can you tell us at night at these celebrations in Los Avioncitos neighborhood,

00:15in the capital of Cuba?

00:19Hello Luis, exactly, so just as you were saying,

00:23this week is not only just for the Patria Colloquium,

00:27but it's especially a celebration for the 20 years of TELESUR,

00:31and what is happening right behind me is actually that celebration,

00:36that birthday party, 20 years for TELESUR, and that is the important event.

00:42So it's nighttime in Havana, we are actually in the neighborhood Los Avioncitos,

00:47in the neighborhood La Liza, in the capital of Cuba,

00:51and the party is just about to end.

00:55The people were dancing, the people were celebrating,

00:58just moments ago the TELESUR president Patricia Villegas addressed the community,

01:04the idea of the celebration was truly for the community,

01:08for the people of the neighborhood, for the people of Cuba,

01:11to be able to have a moment with TELESUR,

01:14marking really the idea that TELESUR is a network and a media

01:19that was thought out for the people, with the people,

01:23and that continues to maintain, 20 years later,

01:26that idea of community, of closeness really.

01:30So we had a very close exchange between Patricia Villegas and the rest of the neighborhood,

01:35but not only her, all the workers, men and women, the journalists,

01:41also the tech staff were here, part of the celebration,

01:45they were up on that stage, sharing their experiences,

01:49talking to the people, they even received some questions from the community,

01:53about what it was like to carry out the news every day,

01:58and what their experience was like, so that was a really nice and communal moment,

02:03so that is what is happening here, let's recall,

02:06that this is all in the framework of the International Patria Colloquium,

02:11this is not just a celebration, it's a moment in which all the different news outlets

02:16come together to Cuba, this is the 4th edition,

02:20and they are here to discuss what are the present challenges for digital communication,

02:27and TELESUR has a really important experience to share,

02:30and that is what this 20th anniversary is all about.

02:33So, as you can see, the music is very loud behind me,

02:38the people were dancing and chanting,

02:41and it was truly a celebration, birthday cake included,

02:44and we wanted to share with you a little bit of this,

02:48let's recall that the colloquium continues through Tuesday and Wednesday as well,

02:54with workshops, with conferences, with the expositions of new technical advancements,

03:00artificial intelligence is also very big in this colloquium,

03:04as really a way to think how these new technologies will impact the future of digital communication,

03:11and of course, a leftist perspective on that communication,

03:15so that is what we have for now in Havana,
