00:00The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has remanded Seputih MP Theresa Cox, former Special

00:07Officer and another individual, on suspicion of soliciting and receiving around RM500,000 in

00:14bribes. An MACC source said the men are believed to have solicited the bribe last year for helping

00:21to approve an application for RM1.5 million in funding for the supply of interactive smart

00:27boards to several schools in Kuala Lumpur. The source said the investigation would determine

00:32whether the items were delivered according to the quantity and specifications required by the

00:37schools. MACC Senior Director Zainul Daruss confirmed the arrest and said the case is

00:44being investigated under Section 16 of the MACC Act 2009. Earlier today, Seputih MP Theresa Cox

00:51said she expects to be summoned by the MACC following the remand of her former officer.

00:58They have said that some members of the Anti-Corruption Commission will summon me.

01:03But they are now recording other people's statements. I am the Vice-Chair of the Public Accounts Committee.

01:10Every time we have a meeting, the Anti-Corruption Commission officials are there.

01:14So they will definitely summon me.
