00:06There are different levels of self-driving.

00:09These levels are supposed to help navigate the path to complete automation.

00:13Here's the lowdown.

00:15The driver does pretty much all the work from level 0 to level 2.

00:20With level 3, the car can drive itself.

00:23At times, you won't even need to keep your eyes on the road.

00:26There's even more automation in level 4.

00:29In fact, most of the time, you can sit back and relax.

00:33Finally, level 5.

00:34The car can operate by itself at all times.

00:38There's no driver, so no need for a steering wheel or pedals.

00:43Most self-driving cars today are fitted with multi-sensor systems.

00:47So, cameras, radar, and LiDAR, which uses lasers to detect objects and measure distance.

00:54There are other systems, like Tesla's FSD, or full self-driving.

00:59This relies almost entirely on cameras.

01:02But both systems come with strings attached.

01:05The multi-sensor systems are expensive and can be affected by external factors, like

01:10the weather.

01:11On the flip side, the full self-driving model sometimes struggles to process really complex

01:17environments.
