00:00A passenger bus that was traveling on MacArthur Highway, Valenzuela City was called by the SHOCOS order after it left the inspection due to a lack of important safety equipment.
00:11The inspection was carried out by the Department of Transportation, Special Action Intelligence Committee for Transportation or DOTR SAIC as part of their campaign to check the roadworthiness of public vehicles.
00:24In one of the inspections, the fire extinguisher of the bus, which is an important equipment to protect the passengers in case of an emergency, was discovered.
00:34Aside from the said bus, it is a public vehicle that was labeled with various minor violations.
00:40Some of the vehicles do not use lights, which is common in jeeps.
00:43We also found defective parts and accessories in the vehicle, such as brake lights that are no longer working.
00:51Drivers need to contact the Land Transportation Office to find out the amount of fines and demerit points that will be applied to their license.
00:59SAIC again called on the drivers of public utility vehicles to regularly inspect their vehicles, including lights, wheels, fire extinguisher, wipers, and other important parts to ensure the safety of the public.
