00:30In the price monitoring of the Department of Agriculture,

00:33tomatoes are now priced at P200 to P360 per kilo.

00:39While the price of Siling Labuyo is P600 to P1,000.

00:44According to the Agriculture Department,

00:47there was a shortage in the supply of tomatoes.

00:49The inventory of chilies also decreased

00:51due to the frequent floods in the regions of Cagayan

00:56Bicol and Calabar Zone.

00:57But it is expected that the price will return to normal

01:00when the new crop of agricultural products enters the market.

01:04There was a significant reduction in the production of tomatoes

01:14by 45% going into the fourth quarter last year.

01:19They said that production may resume this January until February.

01:25The dry season will also start.

01:27And then, expectedly, the prices can go back to normal

01:31during this period.

01:34The DA decided that imported rice should not be reduced to P60 per kilo.

01:40It is in front of a plan to reduce the maximum suggested liter price of rice

01:45to prevent the possible shortage.

01:48According to the DA's study,

01:50the most expensive imported rice in the markets should be less than P52.

01:55The price of rice should be P51 or P52.

02:01So, it should not be P60.

02:04This is expensive, P615 per metric ton.

02:09So, you should compute the taripa, the shipping fee,

02:14the expense rate.

02:16There is a possible shortage in the price of rice.
