U.S. ‘unipolar delusion’ had to end: former senior UN advisor

‘The US unipolar world was an illusion from the beginning,’ former senior UN advisor Jeffrey Sachs has told CGTN. Sachs also said Europe must get its act together if it wants to have a key role in the emerging multipolar world.

00:09We are in a multipolar world. We're in a world in which great powers, including the United States, Russia, China, India,

00:18and I think if Europe gets its act together, Europe, need to negotiate with each other,

00:24need to operate in a multilateral, multipolar manner based on mutual respect and the U.N. Charter.

00:32That's the kind of world we need. It is very different from the U.S. unipolar delusion,

00:40which gripped the United States for 30 years after the early 1990s.
