'Economic neutrality is better than trade blocs'

Hungary’s foreign minister Péter Szijjártó has warned against the dangers of an impending economic Cold War. ‘We are against those efforts which try to divide the world into blocs,’ he told CGTN. Szijjártó  said Hungary’s answer is ‘economic neutrality.’

00:07We are also against those efforts, which try to divide the world into blocks again.

00:13Because we Hungarians have lived 40 years as losers of a period, which was based on division of the world into blocks.

00:23So instead of blocks, we want connectivity.

00:26So what is our answer?

00:27Our answer is economic neutrality.

00:29What does economic neutrality mean?

00:31It means that we do trade with countries and economic entities from both directions, East and West.

00:37Economy must be liberated from ideological burdens, ideological restrictions.
