00:00The Philippines and Japan agreed to deepen cooperation in the three areas of defense and security.

00:07Under the leadership of Defense Secretary Gilbert Chodoro and Japan Defense Minister Gen Nakatani,

00:12cooperation on operational cooperation advancements, bilateral and multilateral training,

00:21and strategic dialogue between high-level operational action officers was agreed upon.

00:26The discussion on the exchange of information was also agreed upon.

00:31Thirdly, the cooperation on the use of defense technology was also deepened.

00:37Meanwhile, Secretary Chodoro assisted in strengthening the cooperation of the two countries

00:43on the rules-based international order and the open and free Indo-Pacific

00:48in the face of China and other countries' attempts to change the concept of international order.

00:54The Philippine Defense Chief also hopes that Japan will ratify the Reciprocal Access Agreement

01:00that will lead to a stronger collaboration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines

01:05and Self-Defense Forces of Japan.
