00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted that his government should work together

00:05to address all the needs of the people in Negros Occidental

00:10because of the recent eruption of Volcano Canlaon.

00:14Here is the report.

00:17The government is providing us with unceasing aid

00:23as long as you don't need us anymore.

00:25This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted

00:28to the evacuees affected by the eruption of Volcano Canlaon.

00:33During President Marcos' visit to Negros Occidental,

00:36he also gave the importance of his government

00:39to the lives and well-being of every Filipino.

00:43The President also assigned his former directive

00:46to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian

00:49to form a task force to build permanent evacuation sites

00:53that are safer than they are now.

00:56I remember after one month,

01:00I told Secretary Rex,

01:05if we don't know how long they will be here,

01:13we should build facilities in the evacuation centers

01:17so that our evacuees will be more comfortable.

01:23According to President Marcos,

01:25the National Government is assisting the LGUs

01:29to ensure the safety of the evacuees.

01:31No matter how long this lasts,

01:33your government is here.

01:35The support that we are giving you

01:39will not end until you need help,

01:45until you need support,

01:48the government will provide it.

01:50You can count on us,

01:54we are your government,

01:56we will not leave you.

01:58We will always provide you with all your needs,

02:01all your equipment, all your relief goods.

02:04We are working on solutions.
