00:00President Ferdinand R. Barcos Jr. has announced that he is arranging the return of the Piano Calong Fondo

00:08of the Department of Education next year from more than Php 748 billion.

00:15It is reduced to Php 737 billion that was allocated to the Bicameral Conference Committee.

00:21The President is returning the budget that was left behind by the DepEd that was included in the Computerization Program.

00:29The President also agreed to reduce the fund of the DepEd to the direction of his police.

00:37In addition, the President will defend the removal of the government subsidy to PhilHealth and will clarify the reserve of the fund.

00:47PhilHealth has a Php 500 billion reserve.

00:51And the cost to provide their services in one year is less than Php 100 billion.

01:01So their budget actually for expenditures in Php 260 billion is Php 100 plus billion.

01:09It has not been used for many years.

01:11In other words, PhilHealth has sufficient budget to do all of the things that they want to do.
