00:00Scientists in China have created an ultra-hard, high-quality super-diamond, 40% stronger than natural diamond.
00:08Most natural diamonds have a cubic structure, but the ultra-hard diamonds have a hexagonal crystal structure.
00:14Previously, the hardest diamonds were found in meteor impact craters.
00:19The new diamonds will be a better alternative for machining, drilling, and other industrial tasks needing diamonds.
00:25And yes, they may also be used in engagement rings.
