First sale back for 2025, $18,000-$20,000 cheap total. Some good consignments come forward from
00:04
the Cooper family once again, Sean Marino's and Crossbred Lambs. Best of those have met
00:08
strong demand from the top end on the trade. And then also your major feedlotters have been
00:12
proactive throughout the whole sale. So that then flowed into the rest of the sale, pretty much in
00:17
that lamb front, anything suitable to feedlot met strong demand. Everyone wanted their fair
00:21
share throughout the yarding. And then even some of the lighter lambs that needed paddock time
00:25
predominantly, even those still sold reasonably well for what they were. Some cheapies down the
00:29
bottom there that, yeah, if someone was prepared longer term, there's an opportunity there.
00:34
Away from the lamb front, ewes, unjoined sheep probably battling a bit. Your trade was probably
00:40
the only ones really pushing on that side of it. Or an opportunist buyer. We're starting to see our
00:46
first real batch of ewes that have been running with the Marino rams, whether that's terminal
00:50
rams or Marino's. Unfortunately, some of them can't be scanned yet just because it's not that
00:55
time frame to scan. And that's just been brought on by the seasonal conditions. And a few lines of
01:00
scanned lamb ewes met not too bad of demand. And then with a bit of weight on the older sheep,
01:06
process is reasonably strong. So something where you had was probably reflective of your result on
01:11
the day. But the demand for some of those articles, yeah, come from further afield,
01:16
not so much locally, just because of the conditions we're still having with the
01:21
drier side of things until we can hopefully see an autumn break.
