00:09This week, Falkirk councillors are debating a proposal to follow the lead of some of Scotland's

00:14cities and introduce a tourist tax. A report claims that a 5% levy could bring in at least

00:20£1 million annually, but there are warnings that it could have a negative impact on the

00:25tourism trade. A priest who was jailed for 16 months last December for sexually abusing

00:30another man has had his appeal thrown out this week. Father Daniel Daugherty's legal

00:36representative argued that he should have received a non-custodial sentence, but appeal

00:41court judges said the effects on his victim had been and continue to be far-reaching and

00:46life-changing and dismissed his appeal. We've reactionist workers at the Petroineos Grangemouth

00:52refinery begin to receive redundancy letters. An Australian lab redoodle and its owners

00:58are very special visitors every week at a Canlin care home. Now Watson has received

01:04an award for his five years of service as a therapeut. There was good news for ten local

01:10groups who all benefited from national lottery funding. The Cyrenians, Cycling Without Age

01:15and Banknotes Nifty Fifties were just some of those in the money. The three colliers

01:21will receive the freedom of Falkirk later this year and with details of the ceremony.

01:26There's still no news of the opening of the National Treatment Centre at Forth Valley

01:30Royal Hospital, which will be reused to reduce the backlog of patients from all over Scotland
