00:09At least 53 people were killed by a fire in a shopping mall in the Siberian city of Kemerovo,

00:16Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry said.

00:19The fire, one of the deadliest in Russia since the breakup of the Soviet Union, swept through

00:25the upper floors of the mall where a cinema complex and children's play area were located.

00:30Russian emergency services said the fire, which started on Sunday afternoon, had now

00:35been extinguished, but that rescuers were struggling to reach the upper floors because

00:40the roof of the building had collapsed.

00:43Australian cricket is facing perhaps the toughest week in its history as a backlash grew over

00:48a ball-tampering scandal which is likely to cost Steve Smith the test captaincy.

00:54Sponsors expressed deep concern as media and fans called for widespread changes following

01:01the shock admission that Smith and senior team members plotted to cheat in South Africa.

01:07Smith, 28, was suspended as skipper for the remainder of the third test against South
