00:09The United Nations called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Syria of at least

00:14a month as heavy airstrikes were reported to have killed dozens of people in the last

00:20major rebel stronghold near Damascus.

00:23Separately, UN war crimes experts said they were investigating several reports of bombs

00:28allegedly containing chlorine gas being used against civilians in the rebel-held towns

00:34of Saraqib in the north-western province of Idlib and Douma in the eastern Ghouta suburbs

00:39of Damascus.

00:41The popular annual Sharjah Light Festival will begin tonight.

00:44The eighth edition of the festival will host a lineup of top, internationally renowned

00:49artists during its 11-day run under the theme, Culture in Sharjah.

00:54Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, SCTDA, says that the Sharjah Light

00:59Festival will run from February 7 to 17.
