Until 31 December last year, a total of 222 members of the Women's ATM served abroad.
00:07
They were involved in humanitarian missions, security missions under the United Nations,
00:14
training with strategic allies and military diplomatic missions.
00:20
Until now, the Women's ATM has carried out three humanitarian missions internationally
00:25
involving 118 members of the Women's ATM,
00:29
to provide medical assistance to refugees in Bangladesh,
00:34
involving a total of 89 members of the Women's ATM,
00:38
which is 36% of the 245 members of the mission.
00:43
The second is the Women's ATM to help earthlings in Turkey,
00:48
involving a total of 21 members of the Women's ATM,
00:51
which is 19% of the 110 members of the mission.
00:55
And the third mission is to bring back the injured Palestinian people for treatment in Malaysia,
00:59
involving a total of 8 members of the Women's ATM,
01:02
which is 11% of the 70 members of the mission.
01:07
Next, a total of 85 members of the Women's ATM were sent for duty in the PBB security mission in Lebanon.
01:16
That's all.
01:21
Thank you, Mr. Minister, for your answer.
01:24
We can see that based on the white paper of the previous defense,
01:28
a total of 10% of the members of the Women's ATM have been targeted.
01:32
Regarding the target of the Women's ATM,
01:36
what is the number of requests compared to the missions that have been carried out for the past three years?
01:44
And are there any incentives given to the members of the Women's ATM
01:50
to carry out missions abroad, such as Malbat?
01:55
Thank you, Madam Speaker, for your question.
02:01
If we look at the white paper of the previous defense,
02:05
we can see that there is a reduction of about 2% of the achievements that we want to deliver.
02:12
So, if we look at this year,
02:15
we have conducted a revision or a review of our defense white paper,
02:20
because we know that in the 10-year period,
02:22
we will revise it in 5 years.
02:24
That's because if we look through this defense white paper,
02:27
we can see several aspects that we can further increase the involvement of women in the ATM itself.
02:34
Especially in terms of the use of technology,
02:38
and especially if we look at our cyber domain,
02:41
the space for women is very open.
02:44
So, if we look at these aspects,
02:46
I think that through the defense white paper,
02:49
we can achieve our goals.
02:51
And not only achieve our goals,
02:53
but the most important thing is that we want to increase,
02:56
through our promotion, the involvement of women in the Malaysian military.
03:00
That's all, Madam Speaker.
