00:00The Roads and Transport Authority celebrated its yearly public transport day by holding

00:15week-long activities and giving away prizes to commuters.

00:19The fifth edition of the public transport day, which falls on the 1st of November, was

00:23also organized in line with the RTA's anniversary.

00:26The festivities kicked off on October 26 with the RTA organizing a blood donation drive,

00:32a virtual cycling contest, and free rides on the marine transport and even a series

00:37of basketball tournaments.

00:38American Basketball Hall of Famer Karim Abdul-Jabbar was a special guest in the basketball matches

00:43held outside the Al-Ghubayba metro station.

00:49One of the highlights of the celebration was a free two-hour tour of the world islands.
