Full time here at Goodson Park and it'll be the last cup game to ever take place as the Grand Old Lady
00:07
because Everton are out of the FA Cup, suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Premier League rivals Bournemouth
00:15
Pretty disappointing from Everton's point of view in the first half especially
00:20
You thought Bournemouth might have been there for the taking, they started quite well Everton
00:27
But soon fizzles out and their architecture on downfall to be honest with you
00:32
because in the 23rd minute Bournemouth won a penalty, Antonio Semenyo their real danger man
00:39
giving far too much space to be honest, wasn't tracked, burst into the box
00:44
There might have been a hint of offside if VARs had been in place it might have been a little bit different
00:48
but it wasn't and James Tarkowski made a really stupid challenge in the box
00:54
gifted them a penalty and Semenyo stuck it home, Jordan Pickford got something on it
01:00
but the effort was too powerful and then two minutes before our time Bournemouth doubled the lead
01:05
again Everton poor from their perspective, Tarkowski again has a really poor game
01:12
gave it away playing out from the back, misplaced his pass, Bournemouth launched their attack
01:17
and Daniel Jefferson's effort was first blocked by Jarrett Brantway but the rebounds hit him fortuitously
01:25
and he found a back of the net, Everton were a bit better in the second half
01:31
they stopped the post three times, Charlie Alcaraz who came on for his debut
01:38
after joining the club from Flamengo on deadline day on loan with a really nice free kick
01:44
he showed some real good thrust after he came on, Jack Harrison who's had a little bit of a disappointing season
01:50
was really really good at fourth, put in some good crosses, won, whipped all the way to the back post
01:56
beat the bum, keeper Kepa Irizabalaga but if they would work and Jake O'Brien as well
02:02
with a close range header from the set piece and just wouldn't go in for it
02:07
going for Everton, Tim O'Rourke came off the bench, he did well as well, he's made an impact
02:12
had a couple of efforts off target and yeah, disappointing from Everton's perspective
02:18
nine points play at the Premier League relegation zone now, you might have thought it was a cup run
02:23
especially if they pick up a couple more results in the league because they really had a good goal at the cup
02:28
but alas that's not the case and they have two more injured concerns now because Vitaly Mikhalenko missed the game
02:34
the regular left back with a calf injury and Nathan Patterson with a hamstring issue
02:39
doesn't look like Patterson will be fit for the Merseyside derby on Wednesday
02:43
the last Merseyside derby that will take place here at Goodson Park
02:47
and Mikhalenko also doubtful so eight players could be absent for that
02:50
it's going to be a real difficult challenge isn't it against the Liverpool side who are absolutely flying
02:55
top of the table, six points clear, hopefully Mikhalenko's issue isn't too bad
03:03
but yeah, disappointing night here for Everton, especially the way they have picked up under David Moyes
03:09
with some positives to take and then to their 0-2
