Everton 4-0 Wolves: Toffees earn needed win

00:06fans finally go home in good spirits, just a second home victory this season, 4-0 victors

00:14over Wolverhampton Wanderers to ease the pressure on Sean Dyche, ease any threat of relegation,

00:22because Everton haven't been gooder up here at Goodson Park this season, but we've earned

00:27a very emphatic win, we rode the luck a little bit at times in the first half, but Everton's

00:34set pieces were bang on the money tonight, that's what proved the difference between

00:38the two sides, Bulls actually went and started the game really well and after about 70 seconds

00:45they had a big chance when they worked the ball to the byline, cut it back, they couldn't

00:50take the opportunity, had another chance, Jordan Pickford made a good save and he haven't

00:54scored, and then Everton opened the scoring through Ashley Young, a fantastic free kick,

01:01Dominic Calvert-Lewin won it, it was a little bit of controversy because Calvert-Lewin had

01:07been brought down, Adelaide Ticori picked up the loose ball and fired over the bar,

01:12he should have scored really, but he was offside so the play was brought back for the free

01:16kick and Ashley Young curled it round the wall, becoming Everton's oldest ever goalscorer

01:22in the club's history. Six minutes later the Bulls who made a 2-0, Dwight McNeil whipped

01:28a wicker's free kick into the box and James Tarkowski towered above the Wolves defence

01:35head home emphatically, but there was a VAR check and Aurel Mangala was adjudged to have

01:39been offside and interfering with play, but both teams had chances after that, Dominic

01:46Calvert-Lewin missed one for Everton, the Wolves missed one shortly afterwards, but

01:50Everton then made a 2-0, Aurel Mangala, his first goal for the club since arriving from

01:55Lyon on a season-long loan, another free kick that the Wolves couldn't deal with, the ball

02:03kindly fell for Mangala, he lashed a shot home via a deflection and Everton were in control

02:10of half-time, but coming out of the second half, Everton in two games this season have

02:14thrown away two goal leads, but inside four minutes it was 3-0, any fears were allayed,

02:20again Dwight McNeil whipping in a fantastic set-piece this time of corner, Jose Sara and

02:26the Wolves goal got it all wrong and Craig Dawson headed into his own net, 3-0 for Everton,

02:33the win was pretty much there, he has another goal disallowed after that, Hillerman and Dye

02:38put it into a net, it was judged that Sara had been injured in the build-up, but it was for

02:43another Craig Dawson own goal, could you believe it, another great delivery from Dwight McNeil,

02:50Dominic Calvert-Lewin again involved, putting the Wolves defence under pressure and Dawson

02:56turned into his own net, and in the closing stages it was a 5 and Jack Arnoldson who came off the

03:01bench, has it taken two chances, Armando Brozier came on for his Everton debut, he's had real

03:08trouble, he arrived with an achilles injury, but he was really large, he came on and made a real

03:14impact, so good night here at Goodson Park, and now all eyes are on the derby, what looks to be

03:20the last Merseyside derby here at Goodson, Everton fans all want to make it a good one of course,

03:25Liverpool have had a set-back tonight, I think the draw against Newcastle, so Everton might feel

03:32they're a little bit vulnerable, Liverpool have got defensive issues, but yeah it was a much

03:39needed win, just a third league win for Everton this season to move them up to 15th on the table,

03:44and they've got to build a little momentum now Everton to just make sure that the knock drives

03:49back into that, because they've got Liverpool in, they've got Arsenal, they've got Chelsea,

03:54they've got Man City, a tough four fixtures coming up for Everton, so yeah they need to

04:00try and just get as many points now from these four games as possible, but

04:05good night here at Goodson, they missed Everton 4-0.
