00:26but Everton hit back in the 97th minute or 98th minute, I beg your pardon, James Tarkowski.

00:32He doesn't score a lot of goals, most of them come off his head when he does,

00:36but he thunders home a volley at the back post and he saunters up.

00:44Everton going for broke because they were the better team, Everton, in truth.

00:48They took the lead in the 11th minute.

01:17The rest of the first half was pretty cagey to be honest with you.

01:20Liverpool had more of the ball but Everton really limited them.

01:27Lewis Diaz looked like he might have had a tap-in but Tarkowski made some really good challenges tonight.

01:52And then Liverpool against the run of play, thought they'd stolen three points late on.

01:59Tarkowski's poor clearance allowed Liverpool another phase of play.

02:06His shot looked like it was going to nestle into the far corner.

02:09Bramfwaite made a really good header but the ball fell to Salah.

02:13And Mohamed Salah's absolutely clinical and he finished his 27th goal of the season.

02:18And by David Moyes' own admission, he thought the game was going to fizzle out.

02:22He didn't think Everton were going to get anything.

02:24But alas, the 97th minute, Mikalenko putting across from the left.

02:29Liverpool don't deal with it.

02:31And James Tarkowski just thought, I'm going up here.

02:34I'm going to creep around the back post, take a gamble and see if it'll fall to me.

02:38And that it did.

02:39And he thundered home into the top corner.

02:42And then as soon as the kick-off went, Michael Oliver, the referee, blew his whistle.

02:49And then the melee broke out because Abdoulaye Dekore went and celebrated in front of the Liverpool fans.

02:55Curtis Jones ran over and got into a little bit of a fracker with Dekore.

03:02That sparked a melee.

03:05Dekore and Jones were both given second yellow cards and sent off.

03:08And Liverpool head coach Arnaud Slott and his assistant Sipke Hulshov were also given red cards.

03:13So both of those will now have to say touchline bans.

03:19Neither could conduct post-match media duties.

03:23So there was nothing from Liverpool's end bar from captain Virgil van Dijk after the game.

03:27Liverpool will be disappointed.

03:30It was a chance to go nine points clear of the top of the Premier League.

03:34Instead it's seven from Arsenal now.

03:36And Everton edging further away from the relegation zone.

03:51That's a fantastic return.

03:53Everton's fears of relegation have really alleviated.
