House lawmakers with senatorial aspirations in the 2025 elections did not sign the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte, except for those from Makabayan bloc.

00:11Among the most notable are Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo and Deputy Speaker Camille
00:15Villar, who are part of the administration's slate.
00:18Tulfo says as a leading senatorial candidate, he must remain impartial should a trial move
00:22to the Senate.
00:23However, other Tulfos in the House, namely Quezon City Rep. Ralph Tulfo and Axis Rep.
00:29Jocelyn Tulfo, both signed as complainants.
00:32They are the son and wife of Sen. Rafi Tulfo.
00:35Meantime, over half or 41 out of 60 of the Mindanao lawmakers backed the complaint, including
00:40strong support from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao or Barm, where seven
00:45of eight lawmakers signed.
00:47In contrast, Davao Del Sur Rep. John Tracy Cagas is the only Davao District Representative
00:52to support the complaint, while others did not sign.
00:56Davao First District Rep. Paulo Duterte, on the other hand, condemns the impeachment
01:00of his sister, calling it politically motivated and warning that the Marcos Jr. administration
01:05is treading on dangerous ground.
