00:08The House has been investigating Duterte over her alleged misuse of public funds as head
00:12of the Office of the Vice President and as former education chief.
00:15She resigned from the DepEd June this year.
00:18The following are the signatories to the complaint.
00:23Akbayan Rep. Percy Sandana endorsed the impeachment complaint to the House.
00:40One of the contentious issues is her handling of confidential funds.
00:44In August, the Commission on Audit asked the Office of the Vice President to return over
00:48P73 million out of the P125 million confidential funds.
00:53Former President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged House lawmakers not to entertain impeachment
00:57efforts against Duterte.
01:00Some lawmakers downplayed the president's appeal, saying it was just a suggestion.
