Another storm on the way for the West Coast

Continuing a stormy pattern in the West, more wet weather will arrive on Feb. 6, this time stretching into Southern California.

00:00before we get to more of that storm, I want to take a look back at the last

00:04week because we have seen some significant snow and rain totals from

00:08the couple of storms that we've seen over the last seven days. So about

00:11Shasta California in the last week, 68 inches of snow. I mean, we're talking

00:15several feet for all of these areas here. Mount Rose, Nevada, 43 inches of

00:20snow. And now here's the rain. Same amount of time a week, more than 24

00:24inches of rain for four trees. Sterling City, more than 18 inches of rain.

00:29We're in the twenties in between here. Now, let's get back to what's

00:34happening right now. And then the next storm that's going to be moving in.

00:37We're seeing kind of what's left of that last atmospheric river event right

00:41now, but you wouldn't know it just looking at the radar because this is

00:44very scattered rain and snow showers right now. The next storm that's gonna

00:49start early tomorrow. Kind of overnight hours here focused further south, just

00:54like Bernie and Ken were talking about Los Angeles, San Diego, you're up for

00:58some beneficial rainfall. Now, because of the rain totals that we're talking

01:01about here, we're not looking at, you know, flooding landslides. A lot of

01:06those types of issues really should just be beneficial. Rainfall is gonna

01:10stick with us for a little bit here. As far as the rain and the mountain snow,

01:14we'll see that sticking with us for a couple of days. Now, Ken and Bernie

01:18told you a little bit about the temperatures. I want to just put this

01:20in perspective. Comparing to historical averages, we have been cooler than we

01:24should be this time of year. We're gonna stay cooler than we should be this

01:27time of year as this storm moves through Thursday and then even kind of

01:31afterwards on Friday. We're in the low forties for Seattle there. We should be

01:36in the upper forties instead.
