Who would replace Ange Postecoglou if he is to be sacked by Spurs?

A look at who could be on the cards…

00:00Yeah, just on Ange Possegoglou and his time, when he obviously came in, you know, they've

00:05been on the back of some top European coaches, you know, like Sergio Zemirino, Antonio Conte,

00:11and they can never get the job sort of over the line with those. If Ange is to go, if

00:17Ange is to be sacked in the near future, who's sort of available to come in because they

00:22have tried and tested these top European managers and they've still not been able to prove successful

00:28at Spurs? What's sort of delaying that and who do you feel would work if Ange was to

00:33go? Do you feel it's the right time to part ways with him after his poor form at the end

00:39of the day? Or do you feel there's no life in his Spurs time and he can turn things around?

00:46Well, I mean, I'm leaning towards Ange out. I think there's been failings and, you know,

00:57repeated failings on the pitch, you know, tactically we're so naive. You know, you saw

01:02against Leicester, two goals over the top of the right-back Porro's caught up the pitch.

01:06You know, there's just some real, real basic errors that are costing us goals. And, you

01:10know, it almost feels like we're playing Aussie idealist type football back in the 90s, where,

01:14you know, you have to score four goals to win a game and, you know, that's just insustainable

01:18in the Premier League. You know, he's been a breath of fresh air. I really want him to

01:21succeed. I think he's been fantastic for the club in terms of, you know, regalvanising

01:26us and, you know, starting off the rebuild that we were so desperately craving for. But

01:32now we're in a short-term crisis and, you know, we need results and we need results

01:36now. So, you know, if he is to go, which I don't think it will be the case, you know,

01:41we've got to maybe back him and see what happens when the players come back from injury. We've

01:44got a couple of big players coming back very, very soon. But he needs some support. We need

01:48some leadership in the team. And, you know, if he wants to go, that's the big question.

01:52I think that's why he's still in a job. I just think there's a lack of available alternatives

01:56at this time in the season. I mean, lots of people talk about Arreola at Bournemouth.

02:00He's doing an absolutely fantastic job. I mean, it's almost a bit Pochettino-esque, isn't

02:03it, at Bournemouth, the way he's really, really got them playing. I mean, they're the form

02:07team in the division on a shoestring budget. You know, they lost the best striker in the

02:11summer, Solanke, to Tottenham. And the irony is they're doing even better out there. So,

02:16you know, he'll be in the running for many top jobs, not probably attainable in January.

02:22Thomas Frank at Brentford, you know, doing a great job. But is he a top-six manager?

02:28I'm not so sure. And again, would he leave Brentford mid-season? And there's even been

02:32calls for Pochettino, which is quite interesting. A little bit of social media murmurs could

02:37be complete nonsense, of course. Obviously, social media is a bit of an echo chamber.

02:43But it's interesting because, you know, would Levy go back to Pochettino, you know, especially

02:47after he went to Chelsea? Soured his sort of legacy there with a few fans, including

02:52myself. But I wonder if that might be Levy's last roll of the dice. You know, I'm guessing

02:57and surmising that he would leave the United States job if he was offered the role back

03:02at Spurs. He's often said he's got unfinished business there. And would that be sort of

03:07the last throw from Levy to sort of reunite the club and bring everything back together?

03:10Who knows? But I think certainly in the short term, Angie's here to stay. But, you know,

03:16if results don't pick up, this just cannot, cannot carry on.
